This week, we were very proud as Seashells performed their first ever class assembly. It was the first time that Nursery had even been to an assembly. Thank you to everyone who came along to support them.

In class this week, we have enjoyed playing with new tuff trays to explore different materials. The slime was very sticky and stretchy and all had great fun with it.

Also this week, whilst Reception were off visiting their new class, Nursery went out onto the big playground and learned where they will play and line up in September.

Final rehearsals have been underway today for the Key Stage 2 production of the VERY brilliant 'Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits'. Coming to a primary school near you on Tuesday 16th July!! 😁

TOMORROW IS FOOTBALL FRIDAY!!
Children can wear their kits to school tomorrow (any kit). We'll have a little football celebration assembly in the afternoon before giving everyone some extra football play in the afternoon (don't worry, there'll be other activities for non-football fans too!) and we'll be shouting our best wishes out to the England team in true Woodhall style!! 🦁🦁🦁🤞

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to support our summer fair. Despite the weather, we had a great turn out and a fantastic time raising money for the Good Ship Woodhall! Thanks to everyone who worked really hard to make the fair happen...staff, volunteers, stall holders, our Year 6 pupils. This doesn't happen at many primary schools...we love our Woodhall Family! 🌈❤️🙂

Captain's Log, Saturday 6th July: A storm has engulfed the Good Ship Woodhall and she sails through choppy waters. BUT THE SUMMER FAIR IS GOING AHEAD!! The Crew have moved indoors and it's all hands on deck for Plan B. Tombola, raffle, games, music, BBQ. Thai food, inflatables...all the fun of the fair. Batten down the hatches and see you at 11am! 🌧☠️😁

Art activities from The Art Room - Place2Be Our specialist Art Room team have created a series of projects and art activities for primary aged children to make at home together with parents, carers, other family members, and even teachers.

PIRATE-THEMED BAKE OFF! Bake a cake, cupcakes or cookies for our Summer Fair Bake Off competition. Bring your bakes in on the day and take them to the judging table. Bakes will be sold after judging. Great prizes on offer! Open to everyone (whether or not you attend Woodhall) 🍰🍮🍪

It's our pirate-themed Summer Fair THIS SATURDAY! BBQ/outdoor disco/games/inflatables/ice-cream/tombola/raffle/sweets/sand art/face painting/and lots of brilliant gifts stalls...see you there, 11am-2pm. Spread the word! 😀☠️☀️

Don't forget that you can book free places if you qualify for free school meals. The school code (that you need for booking these places) was emailed out earlier this week.
Places cost £13 per day or £45 for the whole week.

FANTASTIC NEWS! Superstar Sport will be running a week-long summer holiday activity camp RIGHT HERE at Woodhall!

Dates: Monday 12th – Friday 16th August

Time: 8.45am – 1.30pm

Price: £45 for the week / £13 per day

All coaches are enhanced DBS checked and include a paediatric first aider on site at all times.

If your child qualifies for free school meals, then you can book a FREE PLACE at this (or one of many other) summer holiday schemes. Booking goes live from THURSDAY 26th JULY. We will email out the school's unique code (needed to book a place) along with further details.

Last week was a busy, busy week at Woodhall! We celebrated National School Sports Week with a range of activities for the children, including hula-hooping, tennis, archery, frisbee, dodgeball and dance. Thanks to all of the fantastic coaches who came in to inspire our pupils with tips, skills, passion and self-belief. That's the Woodhall way! 🙂
