A small Wednesday update for you.

Cask:

Bristol Beer Factory - Out Front. A dual hop, NZ pale ale. Superdelic brings red fruit, citrus, and peach; backed up by Motueka with tropical and herbal undertones.

Electric Bear Brewing - Mixtape. A Helles lager brewed using 100% German malts and 100% German hops. Fermented slowly at a low temperature so that the yeast leaves a neutral flavour, giving the German malts and hops to shine through. Expect a soft bready backbone with a touch of sweetness, followed by floral notes and a subtle hint of spice.

Unfiltered, unfined, unpasteurised, vegan, and gluten-free.

New ones!

Disruption Is Brewing - Memoirs of a Summer Geezer. Even Geezers need a holiday. A summer take on a Modern Bitter, featuring Kazbek and Lemondrop hops to give it some sunny vibes.

Elusive Brewing - Level 32: Citra + Centennial. Level Up is an American Red Ale, which lays six different malts against two hops to create a beer that's balanced, whilst being full of flavour and aroma.

Cider:

Ascension- Pilot. A cider we've had a lot before, and rightly so! This is Ascensions flagship cider; it's superbly appley!

15/08/2024

A new can in the fridge from Track Brewing Co.

"A rich, luxurious yet effortlessly drinkable DIPA that is undeniably Track. Huge amounts of Citra do exactly what you'd want them to, Motueka brings the mojito vibes, whilst Galaxy provides ripe, fuzzy peach and a heady dankness to proceedings. The signature dose of lactose delivers unparalleled unctuousness, candy stick sweetness and harmonious balance to this absolute hop bomb."

Two fresh casks on today!

- VIBELAKE 4.0%
NZ SESSION IPA
TAIHEKE | MOUTERE | WAI-ITI

A Kiwi triple threat including a brand new hop to the BBF tanks.
Taiheke kicks this Session IPA off with strong citrus power and a hint of spice. Wai-iti and Moutere complete the threat bringing classic NZ stonefruit and pine.
All built on a pale malt platform with Clear Choice bringing a sweet honey base.
This hop nation powerhouse just screams cask.

Disruption Is Brewing - Demockracy.

A very generously double dry-hopped pale that can be enjoyed by one and all. Packed with the 3 hop powerhouses; Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. Waves of tropical fruit, loads of berry, and light lemon zest with passion fruit making noise in the back.

09/08/2024

A fresh cask of session bitter from . A sessionable, smooth bitter that just seems to go down too easily.

08/08/2024

Our next pub quiz is next week! Come and have a go.

07/08/2024

We've had trouble shifting our bitter recently with the unseasonable heat we've been having.

This is still in top condition, but now on at £3.90 a pint, or £5 for a takeaway litre! (Bring a bottle, we don't have any)

BARGAIN!

Photos from Two Trees Micro's post 02/08/2024

Two new ones!

Keg:

Bristol Beer Factory - Milk Stout. BBF's famous OG milk stout. It's gluten free!

Saltaire Brewery - Titus. A 3.9% session Yorkshire bitter. Ask, if you want a sparkler!

01/08/2024

Something special has just gone on! I've been talking about this one for ages, and it's not going to stick around!

Thornbridge Brewery - The Union.

Here's what Thornbridge have to say about it:

'A classic British-style cask IPA created using the very best ingredients we can get our hands on and then fermenting it in our new Union set. For our base malt, we have used Maris Otter from Norfolk, a touch of Simpsons' best Crystal malt to add a touch of colour and rounded sweetness and some of the special (and expensive) Brewers' Invert No.2 sugar from Ragus, which will add notes of caramel and toffee while helping to keep the beer's body in check. The all-important hops are British-grown Goldings and Northdown, which give us some gentle berry flavours and rounded, ceder-like hop aromas to balance the maltiness.

Hops - Goldings & Northdown
Malts - Maris Otter, Crystal & Brewers Invert No.2'

Football on Saturday! So don't delay coming down for this.

A quick update of some new beers!

Elusive Brewing - Oregon Trail. A classic West Coast IPA at a head-spinning 5.8%. Not a session beer, but definitely a tasty one.

Full Circle Brew Co - Hoop. An English-style pale ale; malty with a little hoppiness.

Siren Craft Brew - Momento. Probably not named after that Christopher Nolan film that I've never seen. This is exactly as you'd hope from a Best Bitter; malty, bitter and refreshing.

Donzoko Brewing Company x Newbarns Brewery - Psycho Keller. A kellerbier/unfiltered lager from two well-respected Scottish brewers who specialise in producing craft lager. This is malty, crisp and full-flavoured; coming in at 5.3%.

Photos from Two Trees Micro's post 19/07/2024

Did you know we're selling cans of Neon Raptor's 13% hazelnut and maple syrup imperial stout for £6.86 when you spend £20 on takeaway?

Hello all! Bit sunny innit? Best not moan though?

A couple of three new ones for you on a lovely Thursday.

Elusive Brewing - Roots. A new brewery for us (from cask; plus a cask of their Oregon Trail coming up soon) since we've started using the lovely Best Cask for some of our beer supply. Roots is a single-hopped citra pale ale coming in at 3.8%; perfect for a day like today.

Bristol Beer Factory - Dune Twist. No spice melange in this one. A dual hopped NZ + USA IPA with Nelson Sauvin, and El Dorado. Bitter grapefruit peel with a sweet finish for a 5 percenter.

New Bristol Brewery - Bristol Bitter. A mellow, malty 4% bitter from Bristol.

Photos from Two Trees Micro's post 17/07/2024

After the Vault City imperial stouts flew out the door. We thought we'd try something similar for you to go mad for, with an offer to go with them.

This one is from Neon Raptor Brewing Co. in Nottingham, and is a 13% Imperial maple and hazelnut stout.

Check the second slide for the offer we're running with these cans.

Two new keg beers from The Kernel, and Vault City Brewing.

Here's what the breweries have to say:

"4.3-4.8% abv. Malted barley, oats. The equivalent to Table Beer in our range of stouts and porters. Not brewed to 'dry stout'-style, per se, but a stout that is dry. Light-bodied but not thin, with more prominent kettle-hopping and then dry-hopping to add some brightness and contrast to the roasty, biscuity, and savoury character of the dark malts."

"An evolution of, in our humble opinion, one of the best session sours we’ve ever made. This tart and refreshing Cloudy Lemonade is bursting with citrus flavours from fresh lemon juice and zest. Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops pair perfectly with the zingy character of our mixed fermentation base beer, creating a light and crushable, vegan friendly sour rounded off with lingering sweetness.

Reminiscent of an ice cold refreshment on a warm summer’s day, Cloudy Lemonade is enjoyable when the sun is out, and even when it’s not."

12/07/2024

The Thornbridge - Fonio has gone, and is now replaced with the ever reliable Plateau from Burning Sky Brewery

11/07/2024

Our next pub quiz is this coming Wednesday. We have four rounds of questions, plus a picture round and a audio round for a total of 60 questions.

Downlands Brewery x Evening Star x Rob Jones
