When people ask me what I do and I say “I buy smelly houses and do them up”. I’m not kidding.
This one was one of the worst by far. Just rank 🤢

I would have loved to do so much more with this place, but with limited budget and time, I had to work a bit of magic to turn this one around and get it ready to go.

That’s not to say everything wasn’t done to our usual high standards. Whatever we do, it’s always done right for the tenant.

I’d happily live there now.

We are looking for a part time kitchen porter to join our team.
20-25 per week Wednesday to Friday, two full days and one half day.

Job description:
-Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
-Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
-Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
-Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
-Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
-Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
-Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
-Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
-Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed.

🍽 In the kitchen, we added double doors to the garden to allow in extra light and it also created a space for a small table and chairs.

🔥The removal of the fireplace in the lounge has made this room seem so much bigger and it looks so modern.

Last weekend we spent at Vigeo property hub learning how to deliver the very best in Serviced Accommodation. Even being set homework, which we got to present to the group the next day.

We’re already in the process of applying this new knowledge on our next two projects due to complete in the next few weeks. 🏠🏠

Talk about hitting the ground running. 2 weeks into our 1st Lovely Homes property and it's flying along. Ripout done, remedial jobs underway, re-arranging central heating system, full re-wire lined up. Then I 'just' need to put it all back together 😀
