π A Mixed Bag... π
Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to those families who joined us at our SEND Families Together session last night. A slightly different session to our norm, in the shape of some Crystal Healing Therapy to help relieve any left over tension from the school holidays... βΊοΈ
We started the SEND Families Together sessions on the back of feedback from our families that they felt there was a gap in activities and support for SEND families after school. Amazingly, we secured some funding to allow us to bridge this gap and off we went!.. Exciting times!
Sadly, despite many requests to our families for feedback on how these sessions could be facilitated (within the guidelines of the funding - boring red tape π) MANY booked attendees fail to turn up after booking onto these sessions. We KNOW that things happen and unexpected events can occur and we are SUPER grateful to those who do let us know that they can no longer attend. HOWEVER, the majority dont. In fact, 50% of booked peeps fail to turn up.. π
Securing funding for these sessions is great but we dont want this funding to be wasted. If we know in advance that peeps cant attend, that gives us the opportunity to cancel sessions or providers so we can hold onto that money and put it to good use on another date.
So, with this in mind and to try and help make things as effective and streamlined as possible, we have moved to a more streamlined booking system.. π
You can now make bookings directly from our website, Facebook & Insta accounts.
You should see a bookings button on social media accounts and on the bookable sessions section at the bottom of our events page on our websiteβ¦www.ntpcf.co.uk
You should also be able to amend (and cancel) bookings.
This software will allow us to gather the information we need to process the booking & generate reminders for you for any bookings you do make. You can also make block bookings & have the system βremember youβ to make any further bookings even quicker! ππ
We have tested this in-house however, should you come up against any glitches/problems then please let us know so we can carry out any fixes needed.
As always, thank you for your continued support and understanding.

π€ Knowledge Is Power π€
Here at NTPCF, we are very proud of the work we do to support our families π«Ά. As SEND parents ourselves, we know only too well how lonely, challenging, frustrating and sometimes terrifying the SEND world can be! π€―
We work really hard to bridge the gaps in support that are needed via our projects and our sessions with you. HOWEVER, we are ALWAYS on the look out for more ways to help our community and improve on the services we do offer. ππ
With this in mind, we have created the below βfeedback formβ to allow you to provide us with your thoughts and ideas about the work that we do. We encourage you to use this form if you can, after engaging with us or attending one of our sessions.. π
This feedback will help us to focus our attention to areas of priority, allow us to apply for funding to bridge those service gaps and basically help us to shape a better future for SEND families. ππ

'Sometimes we get a lot of judgement for parenting our kids in a neurodiversity-affirming way. To others it can look like we're just being endlessly permissive. 'Letting them get away with everything.' And not being strict enough.
Nah.
If you are parenting in a way that is respectful of your kid's sensory needs, emotional needs, fluctuating capacity, and neurodivergent learning style- you're doing an amazing job.
If you are helping them listen to their body, learn how to ask for accommodations, and set boundaries- you're doing brilliantly.
You are the expert on your kid.
