Brain training games are activities that are aimed at maintaining or improving cognitive ability. They are wonderful to incorporate into lessons. Today we worked on Attention Brain Training.
Are you often frustrated when you put something down and can't remember where you put it? Maybe you weren't paying much attention when you lost it. Each Attention exercise challenges your brain to pay attention!
Great for adults too! 😁

Today’s maths included a fun game of shape snap! Followed by some shape reasoning, sorting Regular and Irregular Shapes. 🦊

To make spellings more fun we use a wide range of activities such as:

Curly Words - Write out your words in your neatest handwriting. Then, write them again in curly letters.
Pyramid Writing - Write each of your words inside a pyramid.
Backwards Words - Write each of your words out forwards. Then, write them all backwards.

'The Making of Milton' is a rhyming story about a child who loses his confidence.
Milton used to enjoy lots of activities, like playing football and climbing trees. But at some point, he lost his confidence.
One day, Milton meets a kind wizard. Could a magic jar help Milton to feel like himself again?
This story will be relatable to lots of children that sometimes feel worried. Also, supporting some children with rediscovering their self-esteem.

‘Measurement Conversions’ can be tricky but making it practical is so much more meaningful.
