Client thought both putter lines matched the line on the ball.. great example of the importance of having the correct targeting aid on your putter so perception and reality of straight are as close as possible..

New putters arrived. The custom shaft system allows us to install any EVNROLL head into any neck and shaft in their range.

EVNROLL grooves also provide consistent ball speeds from off centre hits whilst reducing horizontal dispersion.

When it comes to speed control a lot of players overlook some simple concepts around speed control, specifically - optimum distance past vs optimum entry speed

Optimum entry speed on a flat putt an average speed green would leave the ball roughly 9-12 inches past.

HOWEVER when you putt on a slope that optimum entry speed would produce different distances past dependant on the amount and direction of slope.

So if you are working on same distance past in practice or as a strategy remember that you are NOT working on optimum entry speed as it always varies and different putts especially on slope require different visuals in terms of ball energy to match that specific putt.

🔁REPOST• ‼️ PREACH ‼️ Great post here by mentioning one of the many reasons why I Putter Fitting is so important.

1. Preparing a presentation for this wk and this slide reminded me of how good a concept the range was for many peoples alignment

2. This morning I also gave a lesson and once again had a golfer using a line on the putter that was hurt by that feature and was better with no line.

The alignment features of the putter have a big impact on your perception and ability to aim. Lots of golfers think if they stick a big line on it they it will help them with their aim, when the reality is it can make it worse.

Once of the reasons I don’t like players switching putters without testing is how much it can impact aim bias.

Another reason to get fitted for your putter

This is an extremely easy yet affective way of training or calibrating your Stroke.

-Simple club gates to work on strike and ball centring.
-Sharpie/ Chalk line to work on aim and sweet spot depth.
-Ball gate/ tees to work on Horizontal launch.

A simple drill like this should be done for 10/15 mins at the start of a practice session, then the session should move into speed and performance drills. It may be revisited throughout for the odd few to recalibrate.

Every player has a torque profile, and so does every putter. A very important factor in a putter fitting is testing how these individual profiles match up.
Until you’ve tested the combination together it’s very difficult to know how it will perform.
