📢 SGN Works: Easthampstead Road, Wokingham 🔥

SGN have almost completed their works on Heathlands Road replacing old metal gas pipes with modern PE pipes and will be continuing onto Easthampstead Road. They will also divert sections of the gas main in preparation for the South Wokingham Distributor Road project, to minimise future disruptions, ensuring that once this work is complete, there will be no need for SGN to return at a later date.

⛔ The junction at Heathlands Road will be closed for approx. 2 weeks. During this time, access to Heathlands Road from Easthampstead Road will not be possible. Once the junction reopens, Easthampstead Road will then be closed between Heathlands Road and Redlake Lane.
🚧 Gas Mains Replacement
📅 From 2 September for approx. 9 weeks

🏠 Access will be maintained wherever possible for residents and businesses; however, you might have to follow the signed diversion route to gain access.
➡️ Nothbound Diversion: Old Wokingham Road, Waterloo Road, William Heelas Way, A329 London Road and A329 Peach Street.
➡️ Southbound Diversion: A329 Peach Street, A329 Broad Street, A329 Rectory Road, A329 Wiltshire Road, A329 London Road, William Heelas Way, Waterloo Road and Old Wokingham Road.

We have been made aware that there is an emergency road closure on Nine Mile Ride due to a fallen tree on electrical power lines! This is on top of Heathlands Road being closed from Easthampstead Road.

Please therefore use Honey Hill to access us for at least today we will update you when it’s open again. Many thanks for your patience and perseverance of coming to see us.
