If you love the fresh look and easy-to-sweep finish of painted stairs, but are also drawn to the injection of colour a stair runner can bring, why not combine the two? 😍 This clever hack will give your staircase a fancy fresh new look with a striking and practical finish. ❤️ Frenchic Fan Forum member Demi Barnett used our mid-grey shade ‘City Slicker’ from the self priming and self sealing Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range to add a little contrast to her stairway that's still in-keeping with her crisp, clean aesthetic.

Can you paint radiators with Frenchic? YES! ❤️ When it comes to updating our homes with paint, most of us think about adding colour to the walls, furniture or woodwork but what about transforming those functional heat boxes that help get us through the colder months into a room feature? 😍 Frenchic Fan Forum member Elaine Smith proves how simple it is to transform a tired radiator into a trendy talking point with our deep charcoal grey with the merest hint of a blue undertone shade ‘Smudge’ from the self-priming and self-sealing Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range.

Tips for transforming your radiator:
👉 Let them get completely cold first and do not switch back on for several days.
👉 Both our Trim Paint Range and Al Fresco Range are the usual recommendations.
👉 When painting a bathroom radiator the initial curing can be impeded by damp conditions so do keep the area well ventilated for a few days if there is moisture in the air in the room.

Have you considered painting around your radiator? 😍 The simple paint method is a highly effective, low-cost decorating option to give a sense of purpose to walls. Creating strong contrasts, geometric shapes and adding interest in sometimes unexpected ways. ​Frenchic Fan Forum member Amy Eccles (also over at on Instagram) tried the trend in her hallway, creating an accent arch around her radiator using our supremely adaptable taupe (AKA greige) shade 'Salt Of The Earth' from the self priming and self sealing The Lazy Range. 🤍🌾 Opting for the same hue for the radiator to reduce the prominence yet create a feature. Who's a fan?

ℹ️ ​For radiators, we recommend the Al Fresco, Chalk Wall Paint and Trim Paint ranges. Almost all modern radiators are powder-coated metal meaning they are suitable for these paints without the need to prime. In addition to the above, although we have not specifically tested, customers have used The Lazy Range with great success.
