Adrian McGarry - iPhone Presentation Follow-up During my iPhone Photography events I demonstrate the latest image capture and editing features of Apple’s top-of-the-range devices. I also cover pairing the capabilities of both the built-in Camera and Photos apps with the addition of third party apps.

Wokingham Photography Club is holding its Annual Print Exhibition at Wokingham Town Hall from 26th to 27th April 2024. Entry is free to all visitors, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The exhibition is open during the following hours:
Friday, 26th April: 10am to 4pm
Saturday, 27th April: 10am to 4pm

Wokingham Photography Club is delighted to welcome Simon Weir to talk at the Club on Thursday, 7th March 2024 about Yellowstone in Black, White and Infrared.
In his own words:
“This cold weather adventure tells the story of Yellowstone National Park in the dead of winter. It combines a touch a history and geology of Yellowstone, with infrared landscape and B&W wildlife images. It also includes a short multi-media piece about the Yellowstone bison, as well as a conservation film on the role of wolves in the Yellowstone ecosystem.”
The talk promises to be full of anecdotes about the realities of shooting in temperatures as low as -30 degrees C and will be a highly entertaining evening for photographers of all levels.

‘Shooting Super Cars’– A talk by acclaimed photographer, Oliver Lundy
7th December at 8.00pm
Wokingham Photography Club is delighted to welcome to the Club respected automotive photographer, Oliver Lundy, on Thursday, 7th December. Oliver is a Berkshire-based photographer who will tell his photographic story and how he got to where he is today. He will discuss and illustrate his extensive experience of automotive photography and its unique challenges, highlighting the lessons he has learned along the way.
In his own words - “I love all types of photography and video. If I have a camera in my hand or a cool car to play with, or ideally both, I am a happy man.”

This weeks “Meet the Photographer” is Steve.
From black and white to colour, you can see the level of detail in all of Steve’s work in the examples below. A wide ranging portfolio with some fantastic portraits, nature and interior/exterior architecture shots…. And so much more!

Dawn maintains that she has more of an impressionist style now, and that experimenting with shapes, colours and textures brings a lot of enjoyment to the photography. You can see this variety in some of the examples below.

Until 15 October 2023 the National Portrait Gallery are exhibiting an exploration of the life and career of Yevonde.
Yevonde, the pioneering London photographer, spearheaded the use of colour photography in the 1930s.
The exhibit has portraits and still-life works produced by Yevonde over her sixty-year career.
A brilliant day out by the sounds of things!

You don’t need any training, just an interest in taking photos. From camera based photography, to mobile phone photography, we welcome everyone.
