In December this year we celebrate our 130th anniversary. Today, 130 years to the day of the foundation stone being laid, we launch our celebrations with the unveiling of an original copy of our very first pantomime poster and programme. Sinbad The Sailor, opened on Christmas Eve 1894, just two weeks after the theatre opened and its original poster, on kind loan from the collection of George Bradney Mitchell, is now on display at the theatre on the dress circle level for all to see. It is the first of a collection of pantomime memorabilia to be displayed over the coming months.
