Hello, Wow its been a really long time since I posted on here, I am sorry for the lack of posts, The shop has been on my mind every single day in the months that I have not been open and I have been doing lots of work in the background, but also felt terrible that there is no poster on the shop door explaining why I am closed.
I have been running Bluebells for 14 years now since I was 24, So much has happened in that time, and then 4 years ago Covid hit and I think we all struggled through that the best we could, as you know I don't currently do any selling online so during those Lockdowns I was at home with no work.
I was doing alright intill the last lockdown, Where we couldn't reopen our lovely shops from just after Christmas till the April, in the weeks before reopening I had been feeling really down, but carrying on, going into the shop getting it all ready to reopen, polishing all of the jewellery and hanging up beautiful happy spring bunting to cheer my customers up when the Lockdown was lifted.
But Things were really not good at home, and I was bearly sleeping.
I managed just 1 week after the lock down was lifted of trying to open the shop and be my happy self but surviving on such little sleep and what things were like at home took there toll and that week I felt like I just wasn't pulling it off.
on the Friday my credit card machien broke and I just couldn't properly get it fixed by calling the service provider up. So I went home my then husband said have 2 weeks off get your sleep and food on track and then go back.
I went home and struggled for an hour or more to even right a note for the door to say I would be shut for two weeks.
I got it done, drove back to the shop and put the note on the door.
That two weeks ended up being four months as things at home just went from bad to worce.
I couldn't even put another note on the door so every two weeks i wrote another note with the date on saying i would be back in two weeks, desperately hoping i would be, and my mother in law went to put the note on the door.
I finally managed to reopen in August 2021
and have an amazingly good busy Christmas with all of my lovely customers returning and choosing to buy there gifts from me, which means the world to me 🙂
Slowly I got back into being me at my shop that I have loved for all the years since I opened.
But then at the end of March 2022 Me and my husband split. It took 3 months before I found somewhere to move to.
There has been an awful lot go on over the last 14 years and it has always been very important to me to keep the shop open throughout anything that was going on outside of work.
Sorry this is so long,
I will be reopening as soon as possible, but any of you who know me and the shop know its more than a simple shop, we chat, we get excited 🙂 and we share our lives when you come through the door. Its always been so important to me to be a friendly happy place to come and feel relaxed and at home when choosing gifts for yourselves or for friends, family and colleagues.
But right now all of what I've been going through in the background and my personal life, has finally court up with me, and ive had to take this time off to recover and work out where I'm at, I also have a disability that is progressive so thats always somthing I have to keep on top of.
I will be back 🙂 and I really am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible ❤
But right now im needing to sort out things at home and my physical health like physio therapy for my knee since it dislocated again in Feb this year. And working on energy levels as the Covid I had in Feb this year really knocked me this time round.

I appreciate any calls or messages and inquiries.
I have gone to try and right a post so many times over the last few months but with not having a date I know I can re open its been really hard to find a way of explaining what's happening.
But I am well and working on all the things so that I can re open and do what I love to do.
So if you can bare with, and as soon as I have a clear plan of what days and times I will be opening I will post on here and make a poster for the door 🙂

Hello, hope you are all doing ok?
I've had another couple of really difficult days, So unfortunately the shop is still shut today.
I am going to have a think of a plan with getting back open over the next few days so I can get this sorted. Sometimes would be easier to have a boss to tell me what to do 🤣 or would really help if I had someone who worked for me, but money is tight in little independents.
Things will get better soon, they are each day, just got some health things going on at mo and at the end stages of a very difficult divorce aswell, Thinks its all just taking its toll.
Spring is on the way though, the daffodils are out, the weather is getting milder :)
look forward to seeing some of my lovely customers when I do reopen, think I've just got to work out a plan thats going to work with my health.

Hello, well I showed a few weeks ago q photo of me well and said I wanted to get back to that, this is where I've got to today :)
unfortunately energy levels and concerns with my knee are still a problem, I am hoping to get in the shop at some point today, but at the moment, I havnt got there, and I need to go and put some money in the bank, to cover a direct debit.
I will put an update on here when I get to the shop.

Helllllooo, ok im starting to have more energy :) a delayed happy mothers day to everyone i hope you all had a lovely weekend 😊 last week I tried to return to the shop but after lots of trying only managed to go in on Thursday, I saw some lovely customers who bought some gorgeous gifts 🎁 for mothers day, thank you so much ☺ and made me smile.
So This week I am going to try and open the shop for 3 days, just to pace myself, so my aim is to open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 1pm till 5pm (closed tomorrow) its taken a while to recover energy levels from Covid and my knee dislocating just came at not the best time (if there is one)
I will keep you updated on here if that has to change at all, really sorry for the inconvenience of the shop being shut these last few weeks, just gotto get myself back to normal so I can be back in the shop and doing what I love to do, helping you choose lovely gifts and little treats for yourselves, because we all deserve them # # # # #

Hello, I didnt post yesterday as I'm finding really hard to say that I'm not open again yet, on Sunday, it was 10 days after testing positive for covid, so I had plans to try and get outside on Monday and Tuesday and then reopen the shop yesterday. But then at 5.30am Monday morning my knee Dislocated in my sleep. and my energy levels have still been extremely low after covid, So I braved it going out, but I was exsaughsted getting home and im having to be really careful how I move so my knee stays in place.
So I've had to decide to stay home this week aswell to gain some strength in my knee and hopefully energy levels increase. And then next week I have an important appointment on Wednesday.
So all being well I will definitely reopen next Thursday so the 7th of March :)

Hello, just an update, The shop is going to be closed this week aswell, im really sorry for any inconvenience, I don't know if its because I have other health conditions but Covid has nocked me about, just had such little energy. im hoping by next week I will be feeling much better and can re open the shop, Took this pic before I got ill, hopfully will be back to this soon.

Little update, did these Covid tests last night, just to check and have Covid, so will keep you updated on here of when I'm testing negative and can re open the shop # #

I am so sorry if you've come to the shop the last few weeks and I've not been there, I've had a few false starts of reopening the shop after my Christmas break. I have got a bug that is just not quite shifting, keep thinking im better but then feel ill again, at the moment im full of cold, So after the many attempts to come back this January February I have decided im going to take this full week off to properly get better So that when I come back its to start the year properly, as I'm really looking forward to getting back in the shop and seeing you all.
Im really sorry for the inconvenience, and hopfully giving myself this week to get better properly will mean I can reopen next Wednesday and start this year as I'm excited to show you all what Bluebells has planned for this year :) # # # # # #

Hello, im open today till 5pm, dreaming of warmer days. Hope your all doing ok in this cold spell and managing to keep warm. I will be opening the shop 1pm till 5pm Wednesday to Saturday. So true, really does make a huge difference and sometimes we really do a happy dance, but everytime we help someone choose that special gift or treat themselves it makes us smile and feel happy 😊
