This Wednesday 24th, we will have no heating at Chirk Parish Hall. As our collections are already allocated to us we have decided to stay open. Unfortunately this can't be helped and hope you all understand. We will still be serving hot drinks ☕️

since starting Chirk Community Cupboard now re-launched as Chirk FoodShare the volunteers have helped Chirk Community to do our bit in saving the environment by ensuring no food goes to landfill. It may only be a small step but we are encouraging the next generation to think about the food we eat and what goes in the bin. Everyone is welcome to come along every Wednesday

Wednesday, Chirk Parish Hall, 1pm-2pm

Don't forget everyone tomorrow we have our Walk in Wednesday from 10.30 to 4 where you can come in and have a chat ,tea coffee and juice is provided .
We also have Foodshare from 2pm to 4 pm where you can come and help stop food going to landfill ,some of the food is free and the rest you have to purchase tokens for which are £1for 10 and 1 token is worth 10p,come along and have a look any questions our volunteers are there to answer any questions or to help.
We never know what food we have until tomorrow morning so watch out for the post telling you what we have on offer.xx

Due to shortage of volunteers today. We have to close the Foodshare at 3.30.x

Due to having the capacity to collect from more supermarkets we are looking for a pool of volunteers drivers. The right candidate should have a suitable car and be able to lift heavy loads. Following guidelines we are not able to use any vehicles which carry dogs or smokers. The collections are on Tuesday afternoon, evening and Wednesday lunchtime. We weren't able to collect from one supermarket so restrictions on amounts today. Please bear with us

Do you want to teach your children about sustainability and reducing food waste? Do they know what happens to all the food that goes in the bin? Come along on Wednesday to the Parish Hall and they can see and be part of reducing food waste

Ask them if they think you have something on your cupboard you will not use but could be used by someone else instead of going on the bin

This Wednesday from 10.30am with Chirk FoodShare open at 2pm. A thank you gift to all the children who bring in a donation

Their aim is to offer fresh, affordable, nutritional meals without using ultra processed ingredients. The menu changes weekly. This is next week's menu.
