Great news for this highly professional and specialist team.
Great news! Having previously written to the Minister of State for Crime, Policing & Fire The Rt Hon Chris Philp MP, (both individually and as part of a joint letter alongside several other Norfolk MPs) to emphasis the importance of the Norfolk Urban Search and Rescue Team, I am delighted to hear that it's future has been guaranteed for at least an additional year - to April 2025.
See full details here: https://www.georgefreeman.co.uk/news/norfolk-urban-search-and-rescue-update
Rest assured, I will continue to work with Norfolk County Council, the Norfolk Urban Search and Rescue team and fellow Norfolk MPs and officials to ensure the value of this service is recognised at the very highest levels.
I look forward to visiting the Dereham team this summer as part of that work.

Local council is about sorting problems for local people, moving with the times but also protecting our rural environment and all the things we hold dear. It was a pleasure to spend time with George Freeman MP recently meeting local people and listening to their views.
Improvements to our town centre are a priority
Well said Kathryn

Great work
This week Maureen popped along to see the lovely volunteers at the Community Outreach Programme to hand over our latest monthly donation.
The Shed has recently had a defibrillator and bleed kit installed in our front porch and is fully accessible 24 hours day to the Wymondham Community.
It is registered with the East of England Ambulance Service and Circuit, the National Defibrillator Network.
We are now one of six defibrillator’s sites within the Wymondham area.
To see your local defibrillators visit https://www.defibfinder.uk
More information on the Bleed Kit can be found at www.controlthebleed http://www.controlthebleed.org.uk/
We were able to cover the cost of the defibrillator and bleed kit with a very kind donation from one of our members father.
All the members of The Shed are very grateful for such a charitable contribution to our project.
Whatever you bring to public service it always remains a great responsibility and a terrific honour
Before you go to the local supermarket or garden centre for your plastic pots, why not look on sites such as Freegle?

🎯 How to set goals for yourself 🎯
Goalsetting is one of the most critical parts of your fitness journey. It helps to give you something to work towards and keeps you on track. Here's our guide to setting goals for yourself!
1. WRITE IT DOWN
This will help to reinforce the idea of your goals and will narrow your focus.
2. MAKE IT SPECIFIC
Make sure you're absolutely clear on what your targets are. Do you want to drop a jeans size? Do you want to be able to complete a 5k run? Make sure you are clear and precise when planning your goals
3. KEEP IT ACHIEVABLE
Make your goals something you can actually do - don't aim to do 100 push-ups by this time next week! Break your bigger goals down into smaller achievable ones, and you are much more likely to succeed
4. SET TIMESCALES
Setting start dates and deadlines is a great way to stay on track and to keep yourself accountable. Planning your goals with time can help you to build a schedule in your life, and keep you going even when it's hard.
