We operate 10 Covid vaccination sites within York, and are the leading community pharmacy provider of flu vaccinations every year.
Our Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant training scheme is a 15 month apprenticeship. Over the past 10 years we have trained over 60 apprentices and won awards for the quality of our training and support. Citywide Health's new FREE NHS CONTRACEPTIVE SUPPLY service was launched in January and has to date supplies over 300 patients with their contraceptives and created 15 full days of GP appointments in York.

One such condition is a urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs are common infections that affect the bladder, the kidneys and the tubes connected to them. Anyone can get them, but they are particularly common in women. UTIs can be painful and uncomfortable, but usually pass within a few days and can be treated with antibiotics. Where appropriate, women aged 16 years to 64 years can access antibiotics for UTIs from any Citywide Health Pharmacy. One such condition is sinusitis. Sinusitis is a common condition in which the lining of the sinuses becomes inflamed. This can result in symptoms such as green or yellow discharge from the nose, a blocked nose, pain and tenderness around your cheeks, eyes or forehead, or a sinus headache. It’s usually caused by a viral infection and often improves within two to three weeks, but if symptoms are severe, getting worse or aren’t improving on their own, antibiotics or corticosteroid sprays may help. One such condition is OTITIS MEDIA, which is an infection of the middle ear that causes inflammation and a build up of fluid behind the eardrum. This can cause earache, a high temperature, being sick, a lack of energy and slight hearing loss. In young children, the child may hold, tug or rub their ear. Following an ear examination from a trained pharmacist, treatment with antibiotics may be supplied for children aged from 1 to 17 years old.

The Spring Covid booster service ends on 30th June 2023. This is available to anyone aged 75 or over, or those who are over aged 5 and are classed as severely immunosuppressed.

If your blood pressure is found to be raised, we can then carry out 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, before passing the results back to your GP surgery.
