The Euros may have ended disappointingly, but not all is lost. With the Rad Euros special now out, there’s room for another exciting creation. Next up is a familiar pie, but this time with a little facelift.
Our signature sourdough base is topped with Fior di latte, sausage, smoked scamorza, friarielli broccoli, red onion, black olives, and chilli flakes. This combination of flavors brings together the best of Italian cuisine, showcasing a classic flavor profile that is both timeless and irresistible.
This one will be around for a week or so before being replaced, so get it while you can! 🍕🇮🇹
We haven’t featured a white pie here in a while, so we thought we’d treat you this evening with the delightful Picante Bianco. 🍕✨
This pie was first introduced a couple of years ago as a special, and it quickly became so popular that we made it a permanent menu item. Not much has changed since its debut; it still hits pretty hard. 💥
The Picante Bianco includes Fior di Latte mozzarella, spicy picante salami, thinly sliced red onion, creamy whipped ricotta, and a dusting of chili flakes for good measure. The balance of spicy flavors from the salami and chili flakes with the sweet, soothing notes of the hot honey is perfect. It’s a bang-on combination, making for a bang-on pizza. 🔥🍯🌶️

We’re flying into the weekend here at Rad, and you folks have kept us hustling all week long. It’s been a whirlwind of a week, but that hasn’t slowed us down one bit from crafting our mouthwatering ‘Peperonata’ pie. This creation has got us all fired up!
We’ve taken our signature Margherita pie and topped it with thinly sliced Napoli salami, a delicious mix of sweet peppers and onions, and smothered it in creamy bufala mozzarella. To finish it off, a generous helping of fresh basil. Simple ingredients, massive flavour! 🤌🏻

Next up on the specials list is a delightful Mediterranean creation: the Aubergine e Feta. We are steadily approaching the weekend, and it is shaping up to be a busy one ahead of next week’s half-term! 🤟🏻 We have some fresh dishes at the Angel this week, and all of last week’s specials are still going strong across both sites.
Just a gentle reminder: we will be open this coming bank holiday Monday at both sites and on Deliveroo. will be open from 12-8, from 4-9, and from 12-8. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy some fresh pies and plates. We’ve got you covered, rain or shine.

Salsiccia e Provolone
Last week, we treated you to a whole bunch of new specials at both of our sites. By far, this creation stood out on top as the undisputed champion 🥊. Unlike the Usyk vs. Fury fight, there’s no question who the winner is here!
This dish combines the rich and aromatic notes of fennel sausage with the bold heat of spicy salami. Melted provolone adds a creamy, tangy layer that perfectly complements the savoury meats. To top it off, vibrant roasted peppers provide a fresh, slightly sweet crunch, balancing the intense flavors with their crisp texture. Fresh oregano adds robust, earthy notes and aromas. Each bite offers a harmonious blend of spice, meatiness, and creamy cheese—what more could you ask for? 🐷🌶️

hello hello. This week it was four years since we first sold a pie, which seems like a weirdly long time. Things got pretty mad for a while after January 2020 and it seemed abit like the next few years were both on fast forward and an indefinite pause at the same time. Anyway, we’re still batting and we’ve hopefully got some big bits ahead this year. This is an endless thank you to anyone who has supported us, bought a pie or a tee, the venues that have hosted us and to the wonderful collection of heads that have done a stint in the tin or at the angel or in a car park for that matter. okay okay okay. Try and fill the large pasta shaped hole left by the maestro? Perhaps a brief too tough for even the hardiest of cooks. Instead we’ve paired it back, and gone for what we see as a simple and seasonal approach. Some bits to pick at alongside a pizza, and maybe even push a crust or two in to. We’ve also taken the liberty of borrowing your nan’s crockery for that extra feeling of love and warmth. There’s plenty of vegan and vegetarian numbers and there’ll still be some Italian meats present on occasion. We’ve also got a couple of new pizzas lined up for a debut too. Hopefully you will enjoy it. New menu starts tonight at 5pm and will be served every thursday, friday, saturday and sunday x
Bit of an update for you. The italian maestro is having some time away to focus on more important things than cooking (yes, they do exist). Doing spaghetti junction with you has been a blast, but we’re not finished here and it’s certainly not a goodbye. For now we continue alone, and we’ve rustled up some tasty plates to fill the void. More on that tomorrow, but for now, peace and love to the pasta king. Ciao for now xx

We’re back on the move next Friday bringing a slice to the non YO1 dwellers, this time in Leeds again with climbing wall.
As always it’s a blast and it was great to be back in Leeds doing what we love to do and catching up with old friends.

Told you we were back, and it’s back with another belter that would be proud of. Feast your little peepers on this delightful number we’ve been working on. Provolone béchamel provides the platform, with some wafer thin guanciale melted over the top and finished with a lemon, basil and parsley gremolata and loads of black pepper. Simple, sharp, strong, SLAP.

A sad day for all of us hear at rad pizza shop. It’s time for us to say goodbye to our original Queen of the Scots, Marshalina Fraser.
She’s been a huge part of our operation while she’s been with us from menu development, events, socials and generally sharpening the skills of our young team. She’s done it all and done a damn good job of it!
We’re truly gutted to see her leave but, also in full support of desire to smoke joints down the road York food OGs of 🔥
It’s been a pleasure Marshalina, thank you and all the best…make sure you stay rad and bring some of that smoked goodness back for a little collab one day soon 👀
