Lucky me had a flying visit to London this week and managed to squeeze in a visit to the British Museum and saw the exhibition. So interesting and delighted to see our very own Julia Donma pot on her holidays from The Yorkshire Museum Clearly the London air is doing her good and she looked well- quite a star in the show. Great exhibition - closes 23rd June - go say hi to Julia!

Visit York Yorkshire's Best Guides Indie York

Lucky me had a lovely day yesterday. Went for a multi purpose visit to Halifax. Delivered the books to Book Corner, but also went to see the fascinating exhibition ‘Anne Lister: In her own words’ at Bankfield museum. You can get lost for a long time in some amazing pieces from Anne’s archive and see the first and last pages of her diaries side by side. Was lucky enough to be shown round by Angie Clare - Collections and Exhibitions Manager at Bankfield and Shibden. Had to deliver 2 books- one for the Bankfield ‘shelf’ to go in the collection. And one to say a massive thank you to Angie! Who has no idea how important her positivity about the book was to me and is also a demon proof reader! Go upstairs to see “Inspired : the art of making historical fashion’ too- loads to see at Bankfield !
