It is with great sadness that we have to announce that CycleBeats York is closing. Unfortunately it has just become unsustainable for Frazer and Andy to continue running CycleBeats as a business.
Ruth and Dan will still be running some classes during the week so get in touch with on Instagram to find out more.
We will miss the classes and community that have grown through CycleBeats over the last few years. Thank you to Fraz and Andy for all their hard work; it wouldnβt have been possible without them.

What is Bootcamp?
As the name suggests, bootcamp sessions originated as military style workouts. However, CycleBeats bootcamps are nothing like being in the army and are certainly not as intimidating!
Please do not be put off by the name or think you are not fit enough to take part in one of our bootcamp sessions. Yes, the sessions are hardwork, but the format uses a lot of the latest outdoor fitness kit (sleds, tyres, hammers, barbells, sandbags, etc.) and the weights and exercises can be adapted to suit your level.
We cater to all fitness levels and workouts can be tailored to individual needs and personal goals.
The bootcamp sessions provide a full body workout in a relatively short period of time. Outdoor group activity is proven to be beneficial for health and well-being. So why not come along and give it a try? You may just surprise yourself!

What is STRONG?
The key to creating an effective and enjoyable strength training routine is starting with a solid foundation of exercises that work every part of your body. You will notice they begin to feel easier with time - that is you getting stronger. Once that happens you can begin to move onto heavier weights and try more advanced variations.
We know that many people want to get stronger but are unsure where to start so CycleBeats have launched this gym-based class, which is aimed to support people at every level of their weight training journey and can be tailored to your specific needs.
Whether you are a newcomer to strength training, or are more advanced, you will love this class!

What is HIIT?
HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. It is a form of exercise that involves short bursts of intense activity.
Modern life has a way of making us time-pressured and wondering about efficient ways to squeeze in a workout. Well, CycleBeats' HIIT sessions could be the best class for you. HIIT promises to be a great option when you have a short period of time for working out.
Our HIIT workouts mostly combine short bursts of intensive exercise using some of our huge range of fitness equipment, but also calisthenics and aerobic training, to give you a euphoric fitness blast. Like all CycleBeats classes, sessions will be tailored to your specific needs, so you can just turn up and get stuck in.
Our HIIT classes run outdoors (indoors during inclement weather) on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Thursday evenings at 6:20pm.

What is Boxercise/Boxing Fit?
We have 2 boxing style classes available on Monday evenings at 7pm for women only and on Tuesday mornings for everyone at 9:30am.
These classes combine circuit training with boxing techniques to cater for beginners through to those with more advanced ability. Sessions include exercise circuits (usually bodyweight based) as well as pad and bag work which is safely monitored.
CycleBeats boxercise and boxing fit sessions are some of the most rewarding classes around. Equipment is provided so just book on and come and join in!

What is Lunch Break Blast?
Our Lunch Break Blast classes are just a thirty-minute, gym-based, lunch-time workout from 12:30-1pm Monday to Friday. These classes are the perfect balance of strength and cardio to get your heart pumping and your muscles working hard.
Professionally designed workouts will challenge your upper body, lower body, and core, with a balance of slow and controlled resistance exercises and quicker paced cardio moves.
These classes are ideal for those who don't have time to workout before or after work as you can easily fit them into your lunch break!
