We're happy to hold our hands up and admit we're wrong - and this one has kept us all giggling this morning! As we are based in lovely York, during our remodel last October, we added in a portrait of the local Guy Fawkes (or so we thought).

A guest popped in today and pointed out the portrait stating it looked more like Sir Walter Raleigh or someone to him. I decided to make use of Google's wonderful photo search feature, and Wikipedia has come up with the following result: James I 🤦🏽‍♀️

Are there any history buffs or pub quiz legends out there who can confirm who this actually is? Also, didn't Guy Fawkes die in 1606? I don't know how this has been missed by all of us for over a year and a half 🤣 we're very tempted to keep this up
