ADHD BURNT OUT 😳

Here are some pretty images instead of the usual reel!

This week I've done so much on my business it's consumed me day and night. I've not stopped thinking about it, working on it, researching for it and more.

I'm putting all the foundations for growth into place now and that means burning out in the process. But I know it will all be worth it.

Growth looks like being on your arse and it also looks like, lying in bed on your phone making reels. It also looks like, freezer tapas tea in the air fryer and also saying no to certain things that you can't physically manage. But only for a short while.

So instead of beating myself up about it, I'm looking at how productive I've been this week, and the amount of stuff I've done. And that is amazing. I've done it all on my own!

This is the reality of having ADHD and being hyper focused on something you love. I've made mistakes, forgot lots of things and it's come at the cost of my well being.

I have to take my own advice when I'm in this place, and that is to REST and RESET!

So if you're reading this and it resonates, don't get down about it, look at what you HAVE achieved, give yourelaf some credit, then lie down and binge watch Netflix or whatever you need to do to rest and enjoy that downtime. I've worked so hard on changing my narrative on the way I see things and it's really helped!

As the school holidays drag on in January it's so easy to doom scroll more, which is what I've been doing.

I've got myself upset today with seeing how 'succesful' other brands are doing and it got me down. Ok, first off, this is not really how I normally think and secondly I am always very happy for those brands too, I genuinely am! I know it's because social media is a dick sometimes and it sometimes gets you like that way. I don't ever compare myself to the brands who have more followers or seem to have s**t loads of orders all the time because deep down I know I'm doing enough with the energy levels I have and the fact I parent three ace kids.

But yeah, sometimes looking at how well others are doing on Instagram, really can make you feel a bit crap. Whether that's how someone's home looks or how much weight someone has lost or how much money someone has, I'm sure we've all been that person and today I was that person.

For small businesses owners, showing up on social media when you really don't want to is hard. And to not show up means that you might loose sales so we feel stuck in a trap and the only way out of it is to remember that...

ITS NOT THAT FU***NG REAL REALLY!! 🤣 I mean it is a bit, but no one sees the tears and the meltdowns and the struggles that actually happen, to all of us. So I soon got myself out of the pity pit and kicked myself up the butt and reminded myself of how far I have come with Holistic Kitchen and how proud I am of me and my support network which is you guys!!!

So if like me and especially if you have ADHD, doom scrolling in January is NOT WORTH IT! Put the phone down, turn it off, throw it out of the window (Don't actually do that) and instead write a post like I'm doing now telling everyone about how social media can be sometimes and then tell them that you now realised that and you'll feel loads better!
