Going to Pilates (different classes) and both getting Star of the Week. 🤩
Spaces coming up in the next block ‼️
Wednesday 10.15am, possibly suitable for a beginner.
Friday 7am, intermediate classes, must have Pilates experience or a good level of general fitness.
An 8 week block for the Wed class starts next week and a 7 week class from 8th for Friday.
Drop me a line if either of these sound of interest. Small, focused group classes. Warm welcome. Relaxed atmosphere. You’ll love it.
Oh it’s a dark start for the 7am Pilates gang this morning. 🌙
If anybody with Pilates experience and a good level of general fitness is looking for an evening class I think I am going to have some space on a Wednesday evening at 6.15pm from November.
Small group classes, maximum of 5
in a class.
Drop me a line if you’d like to join us and I’ll send you further info.
Free massage with every Pilates class for the next week (self massage that is).
It’s spiky ball week 😊
Maybe those who were promised an easy class last week and found it difficult might now forgive me. 😇
It’s not all fluffy dressings gowns and pastries on my days off.
Lifting heavy weights today. Squatting more than my body weight was my aim at the start of the year. Got to it last month - 90kg is the latest record. 💪
Pastries and dressing gown later. It’s all about balance ⚖️
This weekend I have mostly been enjoying my new dressing gown.
Would anybody mind if I wear it to classes this week?
Feeling a bit exhausted and not really wanting to workout at the gym this morning as planned. Instead I walked to our gorgeous local wine bar/shop Jorvine and bought fresh bread and pastries.
Walking home I had a thought “why am I so tired, I wonder how much energy I’ve burnt this week, how many calories are expended doing sports massage?”
Quick google tells me anywhere from 250-400 calories per hour. I’m going to guess I’m somewhere towards the higher end of that.
I have this week taught (but not actually 100% participated in) 14 Pilates classes, done 6 sports massages, 3 gym workouts, 4 pond swims, umpteen dog walks and all the usual running about cooking and cleaning and life admin.
So I don’t know how much energy I’ve expended this week but it’s a LOT!!
I am never one for guilt over food but I do often suffer guilt over relaxing. But I am going to allow myself to chill out this morning, totally guilt free, and right now dive, head first, into this sugary ball of gorgeousness.
PS. If you haven’t had a Morning Roll from Haxby bakehouse (sold locally via Jorvine and further across York at other places) you are missing out. 😍
How will you feel after your first Pilates class?
Well I just asked Sam who came for her first class last Wednesday evening and she said “OH MY GOD, I felt like I’d had a full body massage, I walked home and felt so loose, I was so relaxed all night”.
Job done ☑️
I thought I had all classes filled for September but a space has just become available at 9am on Thursdays. If anybody who is already in an intermediate class would like a swap please let me know. Or if anybody who is already fairly fit and has no major injuries would like to join this one drop me a line. We start an 8 week block connect week.
End of part 1 of my jollies. A week in wet and windy Wales. We did have a little sunshine and beach time but we’ve cut our trip a little short because more storm force winds due tonight.
I wasn’t too disappointed about the British weather as I have 5 days in Spain to look forward to this week 🌞
Looking further ahead, I have just one space left for the 8 week block of classes starting in September, 11.30am Mondays for beginners. Drop me a line if you’d like to nab it for yourself.
📣✋

📣✋
I potentially have some space in an existing class on a Friday at 11.30am coming up in September.
It would suit someone with Pilates experience or someone who is already pretty physically fit with no major injuries or mobility problems.
We’ll be starting an 8 week block for the whole of Sept/Oct and the block will be £96.
Also new classes for beginners will be added to the timetable on Monday at 11.30am and Wednesday at 5pm.
Please get in touch if you’d like to take a space and join us on the mat.
It’s a scorching hot day Natalie, why don’t you paint the studio 🥵🤯
As a consequence of me spending the day doing this, I am declaring the coming week “All Request Week”. First to class decides what we do in the session. That way once this awful, sweaty job is done I can collapse and switch off and not do lesson plans. Win. Win.
If any class regulars would like to come along ad hoc in the last couple of weeks before my summer holidays then I have some spaces on Friday at 9am this week and next, please let me know if you’d like one. Only suitable to those who come to intermediate/advanced classes already.
Also have space in a much gentler class on Thurs 10.30 too.
There are a few ideas floating for new classes in September and therefore some spaces coming up
👉 Beginners class Monday 12noon
👉 Intermediate class Friday 11.30 has a space
👉Possibly a new evening class Wednesday at 5pm
Classes are small and focused, tailored to individuals needs. Maximum of five in a class. Payable for a block at £12pw, next block will be 8 weeks for all Sept & Oct.
If you’d like to join the many happy people who’ve been coming to me for years and years, let me know and I’ll add your name to the list for classes starting early September.
I have a last minute space in my 9am class today if any of my regulars can make it?
When the first person to first class this morning brings you biscuits and you then have three back-to-back classes without so much as a p*e break. These cookies were SHOUTING at me for three hours 😂
They were slightly melted (and extra delicious) by the time I got to them too.
Thanks so much Tina Andrews 😘
Pilates people, some of you are often super kind in your feedback and recommendations and the vast majority of my new people come from your referrals which is awesome!
But I wonder if you haven’t done so already could you please be super duper kind and leave me a review on FB or Google. 🙏
I might be advertising a couple of new spaces for September and more recent reviews would really help me fill them up.
😘
I sent an email out last week about classes over the summer holidays.
A couple of classes have filled up and some just partly. I’m really surprised there hasn’t been more take up for the evening ones.
I’d love it if I could get some more confirmed, particularly intermediate/advanced Monday 9am and Wednesday evenings 6.15 or 7.30 (but if these don’t fill then I’ll mix them together to 7pm). Also still one space in an intermediate advanced class Friday 9am and a gentler class at 10.15 Friday.
If you want to sign up for these for the 4 weeks from 22nd July to 16th August please let me know.
Please note that this is initially just open to existing class members. I might open it up to others in the coming weeks, drop me a line if you’re interested.
It might be Pilates in sunglasses this evening 😎
It’s soooooo warm and sunny in the studio tonight.
I was really sad to hear the news about Michael Mosley, those who know me know that I am a podcast fanatic and I am taking this opportunity to revisit some of him best ones.
This appeals to me for obviously reasons and I recommend listening to it and following his advice; planks not just for core strength but also reducing blood pressure 💪
Just One Thing - with Michael Mosley - Do a Plank - BBC Sounds How to plank your way to improve your posture, core strength and heart health.
Last minute but I have a space in my early morning class that’s come up, 7am on a Friday if anybody is interested. Can start tomorrow or wait til next week, the block will run for 7 weeks up to 19th July.
Start your weekend feeling limber and fresh. 😀
Please DM me if you are interested in joining us.
Back to the office today after a week off. 🧘
I have a couple of spaces available this next block.
Wednesday 10.15am is a mid level class, sometimes a little slower paced and with a couple of people with injuries in the group.
Friday 9am, a more challenging class, suitable for someone with a good level of fitness and no major injuries.
We start a new block next week, £84 for the 7 weeks. In small focused groups, nobody gets lost, nobody gets picked on, welcoming and friendly to all.
Please drop me a line if you’d like to take a slot. I’d love to have you join us.
Natalie 😀
