Kiosk Project Space
Single origin coffee, brunch, lunch, cake, bread, pastries, fresh veg (weekends), good music, decent chat, plenty of smiles
Just a random kiosk autumnal food and coffee photo-dump to show you what we’ve been up to recently. It’s my favourite time of year for sure - mainly because of all the birthdays but also because of the beauty and deliciousness - ALSO the Autumn / winter wardrobe is just way better am I right? Big thanks to the team and all those helping out - and as always a big thanks to you lot for keeping us going - stay sleazy xoxo
In the hopper we have a lush washed Ethiopian from . This award winning coffee comes direct from Ashenafi Argaw (Ardent Export). This belter of a coffee is sourced and processed from cherries in and around the Idido village, Yirgacheffe. We’re also showcasing the same beans that have been put through the carbonic maceration process, poor buggers. From Yirgacheffe, to Marsden, to Fossgate, to your face.
We’re looking for baristas / cooks / general good eggs to join our team. If you’re into good food and coffee then give us a shout - drop us a message or bring in a CV.
New sarnie special. Curried egg mayo with golden sultanas, pink pickles, mango chutney, local leaves on ciabatta.
Some recent food pics 🪩
Here is an unusually semi-professional photograph of some iced drinks conveying to you our Instagram followers the endless iced possibilities available this summer at Kiosk.
Happy Mother’s Day to my mum and to all other mothers - mother’s who are waiting to be mother’s - mother’s who have to fight hard to be mother’s - mother’s who can’t be mothers - mother’s who are father’s too - mother’s who protect their kids from their fathers - father’s who are mother’s - mother’s who suffer to be mother’s sometimes - non binary mother’s - mother’s of siblings - mother’s of nothing (band name?) - mother’s of the earth - mother’s of pets - mother’s of mother’s - Thanks.
We’re finally getting stuff back on the walls of Kiosk. Adam Keay is a brilliant, local talent and a lovely lovely person. Using ink, acrylic and collage on handmade boards Adam creates very real and vivid scenes that seem altogether very unreal and at times phantasmagorical. His methods add to this dreamlike feeling - using deep hues, mixed media and scratching - creating layers and tangible textures that draw you in and bring your closer. Last time Adam showed here the majority were bought up in one sitting - so if you see one you like don’t hesitate too long.
This weeks menu, in collaboration with and . You need to try this.
Ok everyone act natural. Shiny happy brilliant team.
Reason no.242 to visit kiosk today - Sam’s lucious new haircut. Maybe he’s born with it.
It’s not just great coffee and raw s*x appeal here at kiosk, we also do banging vegan cakes made in-house by the amazing lovely brilliant . Pictured above is a sumptuous raspberry and lemon cake towering over a small white paper bag featuring our new branding from and a carefully placed fork from . Looks good and tastes even gooder. I recommend you try it. Now.
New drinks menu from looking fiiiine. We’ve also made a lovely vanilla and caramel syrup if you want to experiment with extra flavours in your coffees AND a new chai syrup from which is weeny lush too. As a side note - if you wish to comment on or add some constructive criticism about the new sign - perhaps you preferred the chalk board etc - simply message us and we can forward it onto someone who cares. Go easy and stay sleazy 💋
Thanks to everyone who came last week and especially to those that braved the rain on Saturday to come see us. Your support for Kiosk means a hecking lot to us. Not only does it mean we get to see and chat to lovely people all the time it also means that neither me or Sam are forced to find a REAL job following such a turbulent and strange year for the industry. I hope you continue to be addicted to good coffee and well filled sandwiches. Sorry not sorry for my kitchen singing. See you Wednesday.
🥁New branding and signage🥁
Big shout out to for making this happen - so so happy-giddy with how good the new stuff looks. Can’t believe it. It’s taken me 4 years to get this sorted. A sad farewell to the masking tape. I know there were some die hard tape sign fans out there but right now we’re feeling change and all my therapists tell me change is good so...
Also big thanks to .wlkr for helping me put it up I literally couldn’t have done it without them 💋
Hey people. We’re here and the sun is shining for now. It’s still abit nippy tho which makes outfit choosing an even longer process but it also means getting those lush winter shades out again and mixing them with more lighter summery tones. The bahn mi is back on specials and we’ve heard it from a reliable source that people are talking about them in Leeds which technically means we’ve made it and can buy fancy big cars and only work when we need to. For now we’re here 5 days a week 8-4 bringing good coffee, food and love. Tiny cafe big heart. Come say hi. Stay sleazy xoxo
