Tbilisoba 2016 will be held in the middle of October, Saturday and Sunday, 15-16 October, don't miss it!!

Tbilisoba (Georgian: თბილისობა) is an annual October festival which celebrates the diversity and history of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. It was first held on October 28, 1979, and has since become an established tradition. The festival features open-air concerts of traditional music and dancing and various cultural events, centered on Old Tbilisi, the historical part of the city. Beyond celebrating the city's past and present, people from all over Georgia represent their region at the fair of the harvest.[ Awarding honorary citizenship of Tbilisi by the city government also occurs in the framework of Tbilisoba.
The festival was created at the initiative of Eduard Shevardnadze, then-the First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, to honor the capital and counter attendance at religious events as part of his program to overcome "manifestations of nationalism" through introducing new "socialist traditions". The event became a celebration of the city’s 1,500-year history and had the unintended effect of engaging Georgians more intensely in their national history. The festival remained dormant during the civil unrest of the early 1990s. It was resumed in 1995 and has since been held annually, usually in the latter half of October.

Free advice: Start walking in old part of Tbilisi alone or with your friends. take with you cameras (as much batteries as you can take), tripod, and money to taste Georgian Mtsvadi (BQ), wine, Chirchkhela, Khachapuri and etc. Feel free :) and don't surprise if some drunk Georgians invite you for a drinks :)

Pope Francis’ visit to Georgia will take place from 30 September to 2 October.
The three day journey begins in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, where the Pope arrives at 3pm local time for a welcome ceremony. He then travels to the Presidential palace for a courtesy meeting with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, followed by an encounter with diplomats, government and civil society representatives. Later in the day, the Pope will visit the Patriarchal Palace in Tbilisi to meet with the Catholicos or leader of the Orthodox Church in Georgia, Patriarch Ilia II, and then go on to greet the Assyrian Chaldean community in the church of St Simon the Tanner.
The following day, Saturday, October 1st Pope Francis will celebrate Mass in the multi-purpose Mikheil Meskhi stadium in Tbilisi, named after one of the country’s most famous football players. He will then meet with priests and religious in the Church of the Assumption, followed by an encounter with charity workers and members of the communities they serve outside an aid centre run by the Camillian order. Finally the Pope will visit the Svietyskhoveli Patriarchal Cathedral in the ancient city of Mskheta, the birthplace of Christianity in the country, located about 12 miles north of the capital.
Early on Sunday, October 2nd the Pope will travel to Tbilisi airport for a farewell ceremony and will leave for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

day 1: departure from Tbilisi to Roshka (Khevsureti region) at 08:00 by Jeep. approximately 11:00 Am we'll be in Roshka. From roshka we'll go to Juta by horses (kazbegi region). You'll see Central Caucasus mountain by horses from the Roshka to Juta (32 km horse riding) then you'll stay in Hotel which is in Zeta 2600m from the sea level.
Day2. at 10:00 you'll see Zeta lake which is 4 km from the hotel.
13:00 We'll go to see village Sno (Palace of our patriarch), Sno castle , Kazbegi, Gergeti Thriniti Church 2170 m from the sea level and back to Tbilisi, we'll see Gudauri, solt waters, Ananuri Church.
