As the year draws to a close, our business reflects on a year of challenges, growth and achievements. In this summary, we at Savanna Opticals present to you our key milestones and strategic initiatives that have shaped our journey in the past 12 months .
1. We commemorated Glaucoma week in March with free eye pressure check and mass education on awareness of the thief of sight.
2. We entered a partnership agreement with Visionspring to help serve the less privileged citizens in the northern parts of the country. Areas touched include Bolga, Janga, Walewale, Wulugu, various areas in Tamale, Mion, Yendi,
3. We attended to over 800 children in the clinic, as part of our free Saturday consultation for children.
4. As part of our corporate social responsibility we offered free reading glasses and drugs to all who attended our free eye screening on World sight day.
5. We also screened and gave free medication to over 600 women from select farming communities in the North East region.
6. In October, our lead doctor was adjudged the outstanding Optometrist of the Savanna zone(Northern area) of Ghana, at the Ghana Optometric Association AGM.
7. We have been privileged to tie knots with more corporate institutions as their preferred Eye care provider this year.
8. The current count of Private health insurance companies we work with is 10. Newcomers include Ace and Equity
9. We crowned the year with an amazing time spent with kids convened by Martha Inspires foundation. We screened their eyes and gave drugs for free. With the shared responsibility of Martha Inspires foundation. Almost 200 children were seen on the day.

A very merry Christmas to everyone.

1. We started the year as a voluntary eye care provider for the Tamale Children's Home, attending to a good number of orphans within the year.

2.Educative morning with eye health tips for the 4th year running; giving eye health tips every morning, from Monday to Friday on Radio since July, 2018

3.Free eye consultation for children and students up to 18yrs every Saturday, since 2018. We saw over 400 children for free in 2022. We hope to expand to include other vulnerable groups in 2023.

4. In March, 2022, we joined the Ghana Optometric Association to commemorate World Glaucoma week and Optometry week by educating the public on radio and on the streets.

5.In May, 2022, the Yendi Clinic was born to the Savanna Opticals family. Yendi clinic was opened to the public, after an introductory visit to His Royal Majesty the Ya Naa, becoming the first private Eye Clinic on the Eastern corridor road. We yearn to serve more communities in the area in the coming years.
In this same month, on Mothers day, we joined Fiila fm to show love to our mothers at Modern City hotel.

6.In September, 2022, we partnered the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Team and their United States counterparts to deliver free medical service to the people of Yendi and its environs.

7.In October, 2022, we supported Savanna Business Group to deliver free eye screening, medication and glasses to the public at the Tamale Jubilee park to mark the 2022 World Sight Day. The group seeks to project Eye Health issues as a main component of Non Communicable Diseases and thus launching campaigns to canvas support for this course.
