SWEET BEIRUT

Knefeh is a traditional Lebanese dessert made with shredded filo pastry, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and layered with Akawi and mozzarella cheese. At Sweet Beirut we now have frozen un-cooked Knefe with the pistachios and syrup on the side so you can enjoy a warm Knefeh with melted cheese whenever you want. Sahtain! Καλή όρεξη!

Lahm B’agine at Sweet Beirut! A delicately fine dough-base covered with minced meat cooked with onion, tomato, peppers, garlic, parsley & mint. They are ready-made, cooked and freshly frozen. Ideal as a meal or snack anytime of the day! Sahtain καλή όρεξη!

Ixsir Grande Réserve at Sweet Beirut! This delicate Rosé wine from Mount Lebanon with Mourvèdre, Cincault and Syrah grapes, has floral notes and is described by Vivinio to be “among the top 9% of all wines in the world.” Cheers! 🥂

ARAK is Lebanon’s national drink - its clear, colorless, unsweetened, aniseed-flavored alcohol distilled from grapes. Arak is similar to other spirits from around the Mediterranean like Greek ouzo or French pastis, among others. It is also nicknamed “halib al seba3” or the “milk of lions”, when back in the old days it was drunk by men in the mornings to show off strength and masculinity along with the belief that such a practice can also bring health. At Sweet Beirut, Arak of the highest quality from Chateau Kefraya is available with an alcohol content of 53% and distilled 3 times, rendering it one of the purest araks around. To drink Arak, it is diluted with water where it turns into a milky white color. An ice cube is then added! Cheers !
