Message by Executive Officer President Youth Award Republic of Guyana, M.S

"The Black Star of Africa "

Emancipation is upon us once more and this time I am more than privilage to share some information concerning our people

" My African People "

Where do I begin? First I am so elated to be born a ( Black Man ) yes I am Elegant , Shining , Talented ,Gifted and proud to be black.

No I am not ashmed, but why should I be ? After all I am emensly Beautiful and riadiantly endowed with poise and glamour. The grace , courage and strength you see day in day out is apart of my ( DNA ) African make up. So let us all embrace our heritage proudly.

On March 6th ,1957 , a remarkable event took place in West Africa, the people of the colony known as the Gold Coast broke free of the European rule. They had been ruled by the British since 1874, under a New name Ghana.

The territory became the first Black African colony to take its place as an independent, modern nation. The people of Ghana were free to decide how to run their lives , how to take care of their territory, how to manage their economy and how to use their natural resources. The Ghanian people proudly took their place among the nations of the world.

Happy Emancipation to all Guyanese do enjoy and reflect on the good things that we have achieved along the many years. Let us continue as African Guyanese to continue climbing until we achieve our true goal, whatever that goal is to you.

Earlier today Raekwon Noel and his Mom paid Executive Officer for the President Youth Award Republic of Guyana, M.S at his office Homestretch Avenue a visit for a discussion on a plan.

I am so proud of this young man and his performances at the just completed Carifta Games. If you did not know here is what he did.

Raekwon Noel with four of his five gold medals won at the CARFITA Aquatics C/chip.

After winning the 1500m Freestyle, 400m Individual Medley, 800 Freestyle, and 200m Butterfly in the 15-17 age group, Noel returned to win the 400m freestyle to take his tally to five medals – all gold!

Noel won all the medals for Guyana this year since the other swimmers, though making it to several finals, fell short of the podium.

Apart from breaking four of his National records, Noel now holds the CARIFTA 800 freestyle record and missed breaking the 200 butterfly by less than one hundredth of a second.
