HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2024 is in full swing, and we’re pleased to be part of it at 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝟑𝐃-𝐂𝟏𝟑 from Nov 7-8 for trade and open to the public on Nov 9(10am-6pm), at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year marks the debut of “𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬🧐🏆”, organized by HKTDC, where esteemed sommeliers curate a selection of their favourite wines.

Three distinguished sommeliers are judging this year's picks: Mr. Arnaud Bardary MS, Runner-up Best Sommelier of UK 2015 and Runner-up World Best Young Sommelier 2012; Mr. Carlito Chiu, 2024 Tatler Dining’s Best Sommelier; and Mr. Reeze Choi, the first Chinese to reach the top three as the second runner-up in the ASI Best Sommelier of the World Competition 2023.

This rare pre-phylloxera wine, bottled by Philippe Gayral in January 2013 from a single Burgundy barrel, features an enticing bouquet of Japanese plum & sloe, with rich flavors of red plum & white pepper. For those eager to explore German wines, look no further than Weingut Zehnthof Theo Luckert. This organic winery is in Sulzfeld, within Franken of Germany. The Luckert family dedicates about 50% of their vineyard to Silvaner, a grape emblematic of the region.

Silvaner is known for its exceptional dry wines. It thrives in clay-limestone soils that impart unique minerality. With vibrant acidity and flavors of citrus, green apple, and floral notes, Franken Silvaners are full-bodied and refreshing, ideal for pairing with seafood, poultry, and creamy cheeses.
