After lengthy exchanges over the summer with Universal, we unfortunately haven’t found an appropriate legal outcome allowing us to continue performing the show, as we initially hoped. We are as disappointed as you, but we will try to come back next year with a new fun adventure to share with you.

Please find below the refund procedure for cancelled shows, valid up to July 31st 2021.
You will have three options:
1- Get a refund
2- Donate to French May Festival
3- Donate to artists of Il Jouait du Piano Debout

If no refund/donation is requested, funds will also go to artists of Il Jouait du Piano Debout.

Following the cancellation of “Il Jouait du Piano Debout” on June 5th (8 pm show) and June 6th (3 pm & 8 pm shows), ticket holders who purchased via URBTIX can apply for a full refund. Handling fees charged by credit card companies are not refundable.

The artists and the French May Arts Festival sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your support.

Il Jouait du Piano Debout has decided to cancel subsequent performances, we are heartbroken and would like to apologise to everyone who had planned to attend this great show.

After obtaining an authorisation to perform from the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong, we have been legally challenged on Saturday 5th June by Universal Music France who disapproved the authorisation.

We will work hard to solve that challenge and to be able to perform again later this year.
