Glentauchers 8 年為一週年而裝瓶，在波本桶熟成，在PX 雪利桶完成。香氣細膩誘人，最初的胡椒味讓位於順滑油潤的口感，展現出紅色水果的層次和 PX 木桶的優雅影響。

兩週年的特別紀念裝瓶是 Aird Mhor 8 年，在前拉弗格酒桶熟成，香氣是艾雷島的鹹海藻和煙燻火腿與香草蛋糕的味道交織在一起。入口後，就變成高地風格的泥炭味、清新的煙燻味以及些許礦物質、燧石和柑橘汁的味道。一枝獨特煙燻威士忌同時擁有兩地特色。

Next month we will be celebrating Whiskies & More's 8th anniversary and, as a special treat, tasters of the limited-edition bottlings from our first three anniversaries will be included in September's Adventure Box – a throwback to our astounding whisky journey!

Glentauchers 8 Years was bottled for our first anniversary, matured in bourbon cask and finished in PX sherry cask. The whisky opens with a delicate and inviting aroma.

The second anniversary special bottle is the Aird Mhor 8 Years, aged in an ex-Laphroaig barrel. A uniquely smoky whisky with the flavour of both places. 

Our third anniversary bottling of Littlemill 28 Years is a precious and rare whisky now that the distillery has closed. On the first sniff, a symphony of tropical fruits, with syrupy lychee, passionfruit, and peaches. The fruitiness intensifies on the palate, showcasing a full-bodied character with a distinct dunnage warehouse background. Hard-boiled sweets dusted in flour mingle with greengages, lime, and lemon drizzle cake. The finish of the whisky remains long and fruity, with a growing oily mustiness. A complex and delicious whisky.

Calling all beef lovers! Beef is commonly paired with red wine, but it also goes beautifully with whisky, and not just as a drink or in a sauce. Timeless & Tasty has teamed up with The Meat Consultant to mature A5 Kobe Wagyu Beef in whisky, allowing the whisky's aroma to slowly infuse into the beef, resulting in tender and juicy beef with a complex and enticing aroma that adds layers of flavour. The Whisky cured Kobe A5 Beef Bresaola will be officially launched at our Bar Take Over on 14-15 September, where you can be among the first to enjoy it, paired with a glass of whisky to enhance the flavour. 巴黎奧運會正進行得如火如荼，今個月的冒險禮盒以奧運會為靈感，將大家的味蕾帶到法國的心臟地帶，感受奧運會的激情！

With the Olympic Games in full swing in Paris, this month's Adventure Box is inspired by the Games, transporting your taste buds to the heart of France to experience the excitement of the Olympics!

The 3 tasters from France include the exquisite Le Must rum by Savanna, a rich infusion of Traditional and Grand Arome rums aged for up to 9 years in Savanna's tropical cellars. Le Must boasts a complex and refined flavour profile, with notes of vanilla, caramelised fruit, and a hint of spice. Also included is the 1995 Calvados from the Christian Drouin distillery in Normandy, France. Crafted from carefully selected Pays d'Auge apples, the liquid has aged 18 years in red oak casks and concluded with a year of refinement in Port casks. You'll be transported to a sun-kissed orchard, surrounded by the aromas of freshly made apple sauce, toasted almonds, and a delicate touch of spice. The Hors d'Age cognac by Vallein-Tercinier unveils a robust and enduring aroma, dominated by the distinctive "rancio" character. This is complemented by an array of spicy hints, including cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, wood, and the alluring scent of wooden cigar boxes.

In addition to these three fine spirits, the Adventure Box also includes two whiskies in the spirit of France. Linkwood 12 Years, aged in ex-Sauternes casks, offers rich aromas of orange marmalade, cinnamon and jasmine, and Strathmill 19 Years, aged in ex-Chateau Lafite casks, is a dry whisky full of red berry flavours.

Some of these spirits are not available for sale individually, so if you want to try them, you'll have to take advantage of this month's Adventure Box!

The critically acclaimed Bar Take Over is back with a vengeance! To celebrate Whiskies & More’s 8th anniversary, we‘re taking over Tiffany’s New York Bar for the third time on 14-15 September to share the big day with all whisky lovers. We‘re bringing more premium whiskies and spirits than ever before, with 100 carefully selected whiskies and spirits for sampling, including a number of rare reserve whiskies, as well as releases from a variety of distilleries and bottlers from around the world, making this one of the few large scale whisky tasting events in Hong Kong.

There are two types of ticket: $88 for basic admission, and $138 for admission and a whisky glass. Both tickets include a $30 drink token, with additional drink tokens available at the venue. A bubbly highball cocktail is the perfect way to beat the summer heat! Highballs are very popular in Japanese bars and restaurants, and they're easy to make with just whisky, soda water and ice. To make a refreshing and tasty highball, choose a whisky with a fresh and fruity flavour. Stobcross, the first whisky from Clydeside Distillery, has floral notes, fresh sweetness, and tropical tones with a hint of orchard fruit and white pepper. July is not just a summer holiday for kids, but for adults too! This month's Adventure Box will take your taste buds on a cruise to the Caribbean and Islay for a refreshing and joyful summer holiday. The July Adventure Box includes a Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve 2021 taster. Formed from Black Tot 50th Anniversary Rum blend as the base, re-casked into ex-sherry butts and barrels, to which layers of fruit-driven flavours were added using different styles of rum, aged between 9 and 24 years, from Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica and Australia, as well as incorporating some of the original British Royal Navy rum blend itself. 

Another taster is Ma2 from Elements of Islay, which has notes of rich custard with aniseed, stem ginger and a background note of coastal smoke. Thicker notes of banana with toasted vanilla pods emerge. Thick and oily on the palate, accompanied by flavours of orange juice and cigar smoke. At the finish, clean and fresh. Grilled green apples slowly fade.

The summer holidays are always sweet and dreamy, like the Strathmill 27 Years, rich and fruity with chocolate brownies, almonds, coconut and pistachios on the nose. On the palate, salted caramel and toffee apples with hints of cloves. Pineapple in syrup, lemon drizzle cake and popping candy. The finish has rhubarb, anise, cinnamon, fresh ginger and lemongrass adding some spicy kick.

The July Adventure Box with all 3 tasters is now available for order, and includes handmade solid dish bar soap from local brand Clean Essentials, which is free of dyes and fragrances, effective in cleaning whisky glasses and also biodegradable, making it an environmentally friendly choice.

The June Adventure Box brings you three fruity and refreshing whisky tasters to welcome the summer. It includes An Irish 10 Years, a small batch Irish whiskey bottled by Cadenhead’s. Imagine yourself sinking into a beach chair, watching the golden sunset as the air fills with the scent of ripe pineapples, vanilla, and juicy peaches. The tropical fruit flavours burst forth on the palate, a vibrant medley of papaya, passion fruit, mango, and kiwi.

Allow your senses to be transported to a sunlit haven with Glenburgie 21 Years. A bowl of ripe pears, peaches, and pineapple sits temptingly on a windowsill. As you take a sip, a tingling sensation of fresh ginger dances on your tongue, accompanied by a burst of zesty fruit. Add a few drops of water and the flavour profile transforms into a delectable French patisserie, surrounded by warm custard-Danish pastries and creamy crème patissière tarts. We have unfortunately already sold out of this whisky, but this month’s Adventure box will still include a taster!

Another whisky with dessert in its soul, Blair Athol 21 Years is reminiscent of a bakery, where the air is thick with the sweet scent of freshly baked treats. Baked pumpkin pie, whipped cream and caramel mix with the lingering warmth of spice. The finish is a sweet and spicy delight that lingers long.

In honour of World Gin Day this month, a special gin taster has been included. No Ordinary Gin is aged in an ex-whisky cask for an astonishing two years. A remarkably balanced gin that could be savoured neat or in a cocktail. It is a gin that invites you to break the mould, to explore new horizons, and to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary.

If you are interested in rare whiskies, you must get to know this Glen Grant 1969! From Speyside, distilled in 1969 and matured for 14 years in three sherry hogsheads, it was bottled by R. W. Duthie & Co. in 1984. A distinctive sherry character with aromas of candied plum jam, walnut jam, dark warm raisins and oak. The finish is velvety with notes of leather, to***co leaves and sweet plum jam. A multi layered flavour with a stunning balance! A very rare old whisky, often selling for more than HK$30,000. We were lucky enough to sample this fine whisky at the recent Hong Kong Whisky Festival, and if you ever have the chance to try it, it's not to be missed!

High Coast Distillery is a relatively new player to the whisky world, established in 2007 in Norrland, Northern Sweden, and formerly known as the Box Distillery, named after the place where carton boxes were produced. The distillery is situated in a special natural environment where the constant flow of icy mountain water from the nearby river and the strong temperature variations in the area give the whisky its unique character. The abundance of ice-cold water condenses the spirits efficiently, and the extreme winter-summer and day-night temperature variations in Norrland accelerate part of the maturation process and contribute to the development of distinctive flavours. The distillery produced its first whisky, The Pioneer, in 2014, and has since released whiskies in a variety of styles and flavours. 夏天是旅遊的季節，本月推介將會把大家的味蕾帶到北歐的森林！來自瑞典 The High Coast Distillery 的 Quercus 系列採用不同的橡木桶，實驗各種橡木對威士忌口味的影響。Quercus I 是系列中的第一枝威士忌，使用歐洲森林的 Quercus Robur 橡木，是瑞典發現的兩種橡木中較為突出的一種。這種橡樹生長在歐洲多個地區，遍佈整個瑞典，含有較高比例的單寧酸和抗氧化劑，並帶有許多辛辣和甜味。

這枝威士忌的香氣柔和而細膩，有香草、椰子奶、松木和熱帶水果的前味。輕柔的辣味包括胡椒、生姜、肉豆蔻，甚至還有康乃馨的味道。口感飽滿而豐富，胡椒味和甜美的橡木味。薄荷、焦糖、烤過的橡木和松木。中等長的尾韻非常甜。棉花糖、花香蜂蜜、生姜和甜甘草。淡淡的綠茶和大量的白糖。蜂蜜蜜瓜和豐富的焦糖醬在最後。美妙的口味為味蕾帶來一次愉快的旅遊！

Pick of the Month: Quercus I - Robur
Summer is the season for travelling, and our pick of the month will take your taste buds to the Scandinavian Forests! The Quercus range from The High Coast Distillery in Sweden uses a variety of different kinds of oak to experiment with the effects of different species of oak on the flavour of whisky. The Quercus I - Robur, the first whisky in the range, is matured in European Quercus robur oak, the more prominent of the two types of oak found in Sweden. This species grows in several parts of Europe, can be found throughout Sweden, and contains a relatively high proportion of tannins and antioxidants, lending spicy and sweet flavours to whisky.

This bottle is soft and delicate on the nose with vanilla, coconut milk, pine wood and tropical fruit top notes. It has soft spiciness; pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and even hints of carnation. On the palate, full bodied and rich mouthfeel. Peppery and fizzy. A wave of sweet oak. Mint, caramel, toasted oak and pine wood. At the finish, medium long and very sweet. Marshmallows, floral honey, ginger, and sweet licorice. A touch of green tea with a generous helping of white sugar. Honey melon and rich caramel sauce right at the end. The beautiful flavours make for an enjoyable trip for the taste buds!
