Chevas Coffee Estate began when Luis Victor Chevas bought his first farm in the 1970s in Alto Chiquero, Boquete, Panama. This farm was dedicated to large-scale agriculture, primarily producing onions and potatoes. Inspired by his grandfather's work at the age of 18, José Luis Chevas began to join his family's business. He established Chevas Coffee Estate in 2016. Today, José manages the farm together with Adrian Villarreal, who is the 2020 Panama Barista Champion, and Charlène Cabioch, the 2019 French Aeropress Champion and 2021 World Coffee In Good Spirits Championship Champion.

2. He met a few baristas and enslaved them, starting up CREW in Wan Chai 👨‍👨‍👧
3. After COVID, he travelled to Brazil to look for some premium coffee beans 🇧🇷
4. Crew So, our new Crew beans, is born ☄️☄️

“So” in Crew So comes from espresso, meaning it will be the regular beans for our espressos. It also is our brand new Single Origin (SO) coffee beans with nutty tasting profile. Crew So also pronounces similar to “Crucial”. We do believe that this new coffee bean will become a crucial part of the lives of our Crewmates 🫂 Crew So is available today at both CREW WanChai and CREW Central 😗☕
