Some beginners hesitate to come to classes when they start doing yoga because they feel embarrassed by not being to do what the teacher asks. The truth is, you have to come more often, and to recognize the point is to put your attention back to connecting with your body. In the class, we are not to compete but to reconnect with ourselves. If you can only do an easy version of a pose, you have given all you had, give yourself credit for that. Every moment is the best moment, start enjoy it!
A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it. It just blooms.

Do you think downward-facing dog is a resting pose? I guess not if you are a beginner, and you may wonder why the teacher would say take a rest in down dog while you are feeling such an intense stretch at your hamstrings. We all have been there, the more you do, the more you can be in peace in this pose. Practise with us!

How do you feel when you see all the people doing difficult yoga poses perfectly in the IG photos? If you are feeling envious, you don't have to. Yoga is not a competitive sport. I repeat, yoga is not a competitive sport.
Everybody of different levels of strengths and flexibility can do yoga. It is the enjoyable process of understanding your body, playing around with your body that matters. You may not find many IG photos showing that, because like air, it is invisible, but you can FEEL it.

Close your eyes - while the teacher may not instruct specifically, you may see them closing their eyes in the gentle poses at the beginning of a class. Closing the eyes can allow you to shut down all the visual input and help you to focus on your internal sensations and breathing.
We are usually particularly sensitive to visual stimuli because we have to constantly look out for danger in the environment. But in a comfortable yoga studio, you are free to shut down the alert system and just relax here.

Join Carol Yeung's final 10 sessions of advanced practice in 2023, every Monday from 7:15 to 8:45 PM. Starting in July, Carol will focus on forearm stands and pain-free backbends. The forearm stands will be taught on July 10, 17, 24, and 31, while the backbends will be taught on August 7, 14, 21, 28, and September 11, 18.

This program is designed for anyone interested in teaching yoga to children regardless of previous experience. By combining educational philosophy, up-to-date research, and over 20 years of experience working with children and families, Laura will guide you through key teaching methodologies and practices that will help you create engaging and creative yoga classes that enhance the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, teens, and families.

🚨 Intensive Practice: Pincha Mayurasana in June and July 🚨
Every Monday from 7:15pm to 8:45 pm.
Join Carol as she guides you through a series of carefully designed exercises and drills to help you improve your technique and build strength in your arms, core, and upper body.
This course is suitable for students of all levels, whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics of Pincha Mayurasana or an experienced practitioner looking to refine your technique and take your skills to the next level.
We offer a variety of package options:
- 5-class package: HKD1,600
- 10-class package: HKD2,950
- 20-class package: HKD5,600
As usual, TP students can use 2 credits to attend the course.

🌟 No Pre Requisites🌟 Yoga Alliance RCYT 95-Hour Children's Yoga Teacher Training with Laura, Founder of , at The Practice Central from September 9-18, 2023 (with a self-study day on September 13).
This program is designed for anyone interested in teaching yoga to children regardless of previous experience. By combining educational philosophy, up-to-date research, and over 20 years of experience working with children and families, Laura will guide you through key teaching methodologies and practices that will help you create engaging and creative yoga classes that enhance the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, teens, and families.
Upon completion of both modules, you'll receive a certificate of completion and be equipped to lead yoga classes for children aged 3-18. The course will be taught in English, and you can find more details on our official website at www.thepracticegroup.com.
To apply, please fill out an application form and submit a deposit of HKD2,000.
You can also choose to pay in full before June 30, 2023, for HKD11,500
OR
opt for an installment plan of HKD7,500 for section 1 (payable by June 30, 2023)

課程中將培養練習者對身體的意識、協調,強化四肢和上半身的力量,使整體的身體素質得以提升。

Focuses on training functional movements where the practitioners can apply the knowledge into everyday uses such as picking heavy groceries ( 🙃) off the ground and lifting objects overhead safely.
This class will develop the practitioners' body awareness, coordination, quad and upper body strength which allow them to exalt their overall fitness level.
