Meet 𝐋𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐮𝐚𝐧, from our Full-time MBA program Intake 2019.

Lin was born in China and grew up in Sydney, Australia. With over seven years of experience in Sales across various industries such as industrial gases, e-commerce, and consumer goods, Lin felt that there was more room to grow and was eager to learn more about the breadth of the business world. At that moment he had two options in mind, either to look for a new job or to pursue an MBA.

Having previously worked in Hong Kong, Lin saw the city as a super-connector to China and a gateway to the many fast-growing economies in Asia, which then led to his decision to undertake an MBA in this city. Reflecting on his MBA journey, he stated that the professional and cultural diversity of the HKUST MBA program served as the catalyst for his broader understanding of business. The internship experience assisted him in determining an exciting career path through industry exposure.
