Amazon doesn't just sell smartphones anymore — it makes one. In news that should surprise exactly no one, Jeff Bezos has officially unveiled Amazon's first cellphone, the Fire Phone. It'll be available July 25th, exclusively on AT&T starting at $199 with a two-year contract, and it's perhaps the most futuristic and wide-ranging device Amazon has ever attempted.

The Fire Phone has a 4.7-inch, 720p display, aluminum buttons, a Qualcomm processor, Adreno 330 graphics, and 2GB of RAM. It's 0.35 inches thick, and weighs 5.64 ounces. Bezos talked a lot about the phone's build, from the injection-molded connectors to the chamfered edges. There's a set of stereo speakers that Bezos promised are better than your average phone, and a set of headphones he swears that won't tangle. (That last bit sounds impossible, but we'll have to wait and see.)

Samsung is known to release a plethora of variants of its flagship devices, especially the Galaxy S series, simply because it wants a product in every category and price range. After the launch of the Galaxy S5, the rumour mill shifted its focus towards the usual Zoom, Active and Mini variants. Samsung made the Galaxy K Zoom, formally known as Galaxy S5 Zoom, official on April 29, and launched the Galaxy S5 Active today on AT&T. The only variant left to be introduced is the Galaxy S5 Mini. There have been numerous rumours surrounding the Galaxy S5 Mini, but never something authentic has shown up. However, today, a few pictures and complete specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S5 Mini was sent to SamMobile by an anonymous tipster.

According to the pictures, it looks like the Galaxy S5 Mini sports exactly the same design as the Galaxy S5, with the same rounded corners and perforated pattern on the back panel. It also looks like that Samsung has not compromised on core features and has kept the fingerprint scanner and the heart-rate sensor, both which are unique to the Galaxy S5. There’s a rubber gasket attached to the inside of the back cover, which hints towards the device being water-resistant. However, unlike the Galaxy S5, there is no flap covering the USB port, so we are not sure if the device is indeed IP67 certified.

Spec-wise, the Galaxy S5 Mini is equipped with a 4.5-inch 720p (720×1280) Super AMOLED display, an unannounced Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470) SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, Mali-400 MP4 GPU with a clock speed of 450MHz, 1.5GB RAM, 8 Megapixel primary camera sensor with 1080p Full HD video recording and 2.1 Megapixel front facing camera. The device features 16GB of internal storage, which can easily be expanded via a MicroSD card.

On the software side of things, the device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung’s latest Magazine UX TouchWiz UI interface layer on top of it. Tipster also mentions that all the Galaxy S5′s software features are present on the Mini, including: Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Kids Mode etc..

WSJ confirms a standalone Samsung smartwatch coming this summer

It was in early April when we first heard rumors about a possible Samsung smartwatch that would not require being paired to a smartphone for connectivity. The so-called Samsung Gear Solo (or Gear 2 Solo) sounded like a reasonable enough thing for Samsung to release, and now the device seems to have been confirmed by a new report from The Wall Street Journal.

The Journal doesn't even mention the name "Solo", but the report does say that Samsung is preparing a standalone smartwatch running Tizen that will be able to place and receive calls, and send email, all without the need to be tethered to a smartphone. It may not be named the "Solo", but it is certainly part of the Tizen-powered Samsung Gear lineup, rather than the Android-powered Galaxy Gear brand. The device will have other functionality that we've seen in the Gear line including GPS, Bluetooth, a camera, and a heart rate monitor.

Supposedly, Samsung is already in talks with wireless carriers in the US, South Korea, and Europe to help bring the device to market; and, Samsung is planning to announce the device in either June or July with a release possible for sometime over the summer. No word yet on pricing or specs.

新 Toyota Camry 將配備無線充電裝置

越來越多手機擁有無線充電功能，豐田車廠 2015 年款的 Camry 將會擁有無線充電作為選配項目。無線充電功能是豐田的 eBin 雜物箱選項之一，只要按一下開關，再將手機放上無線充電板即可。

豐田的充電板將會採用 Qi 無線充電制式，換言之 Nexus 4、Nexus 5、Lumia 920 等手機將可以受惠。暫時豐田未有透露這選配項目會否限於美國版 Camry，一切有待正式推出時才知道。
