This is an official rant, yes we are all in the same boat after 3 years of Covid distance learning but tonight I want to talk to the teachers out there, the IB, GCSE or whatever program. The amount of workload thrown onto students´head at the last minute before MOQ or end of the year exam is TOTALLY unfair. You may be in the best schools of the world yet the quality of delivery to the children´s brain is way below the quantity they must endure. Yes, ENDURE. There is no way before the age of 16 years, they may be self reliant and all on a DIY learning show, if it is what is expected, what is the point of schools and teachers at all??? The new year trend, tons of homework from all over the internet, no program, no book, no clear syllabus given, no goal, no direction...no learning how to use a dictionary, not explaning what is a sentence, not giving permission for them to take notes in class and bring the note home to study. I ask the adult here, you actually expect them to remember all? Would you; learning a new language: perform only doing Quizzlet without books nor guidance? And yet do songs or movies in class or even better "talk among yourself to train for exam" sessions... What are the parent paying for? Computer and luxurious material over consistent educative content? This is an unfair situation both to students and parents, if you disagree tell me your school name and program I will refer to it consistantly... Rant over
