We had an amazing time in this beautiful island. Our favorite activities were visiting El Teide mountain, the highest spot of Spain, by day and by night with the stars, Anaga forest, Los Abrigos natural pool, La Vaca natural pool (there are many around the island), Las Dunas in Gran Canaria, the desert by the ocean, and my personal favorite was our freediving training session with in Radazul 💙 Hope to be back sometime to train and to visit some more secret spots. 😊

It takes practice to be able to find calmness in the storm. One of the most valuable things freediving has thought me (even though I haven’t mastered it yet 🙃) is to be more patient and find peace and positivity in difficult life situations. Sometimes it comes easy, sometimes not, but I do have a LOT to thank to this sport. It really does shape you a better version of yourself. ✨

It’s a form of celebrating life. It’s showing gratitud. It’s a form of medicine that helps us heal. It’s a teacher that shows us how to overcome obstacles in life. 🦋

Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the beauty of becoming the best version of yourself. ✨
Often we’re afraid to take action, to let go, to start over or to change something, because it means that we have to face uncertainty and get out of our comfort zone - a place where we feel safe, because we know it very well. But uncertainty is inevitable and necessary. It’s what makes us experience and grow, it’s what gives us hope and opportunity. It’s what eventually makes us wiser, stronger and happier, no matter which way it takes us. 🌈
Random deep note to self and all because I know you missed ‘em. 🌝
Magical moments like this on a single breath of air. ✨ How lucky we are to be able to swim with these beautiful manta rays in Ecuador every year. 💙

Sunset paddle ✨ One of my favorite moments of this trip in Galápagos. 💙 It even left me with a forever reminder and an odd wetsuit story, when a sea lion followed us and decided to get on board and say hello with a friendly bite leaving a nice hole on my new wetsuit. 😅 I didn’t know if to cry or laugh, but in the end I guess you just have to embrace these fun memories. 😌
More Galápagos shots and stories coming soon. 😉📸

So I thought that stepping into 3X would be “scary” when turning 20 feels like it was only yesterday, but I’ve never been so excited about my birthday. 🙃 I can feel that great things are coming, even though, I’m already honestly so grateful for everything I have lived so far. ✨🙏🏼
Thank you so much everyone for making my weekend perfect, and for all the birthday messages, videos and calls I got. Every single one of them made me feel loved and lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people. 🥰

Morning runs & good music 🔆💕
Each smaller bigger competition teaches us something important, and so we go for it anytime, anyhow, anywhere. This one didn’t start with a smile for me, but it ended up with a big one, and overall I’m very happy. 😊
My first and most practiced discipline, dynamic bifins didn’t go as planned, I got hypoxic in a ridiculously short time, and I bursted out in tears after, not understanding a thing why it was happening… In theory everything was ideal for a nice dive, but surely I was missing something…
The next two days, I decided to go for my safe distances in monofin, no fin and a safe time for static, to secure white cards. Overcoming the ego, and accepting that it’s the best thing I could do for my mental and physical state was very difficult, but I’m happy and proud that I was able to do it. It’s so easy to get excited and carried away when you get to your safe marks, and think that you’re already there, you can do just a little more (which you probably can) but at this point, unfortunately I wasn’t able to measure how much is that little more, and why hypoxia hit me out of the blue the first day. It can have many reasons, and I feel like the most obvious ones are not an explanation, so I will have to keep looking for the answer and keep experimenting what works best for me to improve and progress.
In any case, finishing this practice comp with a smile and some nice medals was a big thing, and I’m happy and grateful to my coaches and team for all the support and good vibes. 💙
While the beauty of this sport lies in its complexity and mystery, one thing is for sure: passion, will and hard work always pay off. With that in mind, this week a little rest, and then back to the mermaid office to work on the next milestones. 🧜🏼♀️💪🏼
Always grateful to for organizing competitions and letting us practice! 🙌🏼
If you relate and keen to share your experience, please do! 🤗
