Dear ex Aventura Guest! I miss you a lot, I miss hostelling as well! As you know, I closed down my hostel end of last year and I made two apartments from the property. Let me show you now the bigger one, which is ready for sale! I don't know what will happen after COVID. I might re-open my two apartments (Art Apartment and the Vintage one) and then I might see some of you again. Who knows ... Tell me what you think! :)

On the 6th of January we have closed down or hostel after 14 years of operation. We are rebuilding our property. We separate it into two apartments: a small studio apartment (Japan room and India room) and a large 2 bedroom luxury apartment, that we are going to sell. You can follow the contructions in this album.

Our very first guest on June 7th, 2006: Jeremy from Australia. And our very last guest in January 6th, 2020: Peter, a Hungarian man who is living in Switzerland. He was our regular customer. Thank you for all who have stayed with us. ❤️

It is always very sad when ignorant guests leave damage behind on our well preserved antique furnitures. This happenned to the rocking chair which was a heritage from my Gramme and been in the family for decades.
Thank’s God my husband is a brilliant handyman. Can fix the old rocking chair as well. But it still costs about 70 eur and few days of work :(
Please look after the furnishig. Each item has a history.

If you want to chill in the 30 degrees this hidden place is just 6 metro stop and about 10 minutes walk away from Aventura. Paradise for dogs, kids and everyone who wants to escape the busy city atmosphere for a few hours. 3 different bar (, and a brand new, which is opening soon) offering cold drinks and some street food on the Danube shore on a semi island surrounded by nature.

Following Anouk Lucassen 's research based ideas on hostel developments we started to make a plan how to transfer the kitchen in to a more common room feeling space where the guest can gather togeter to socialize as well.
I have invited a friend who works with wood and has great imagination of design and creating living spaces. While we were thinking and planning in the kitchen this nice guest Ranjan Taa from Kalkuta has joind our conversation. Ranjan is an architect and had a brilliant idea to open the kitchen loft from the reception side and close it from the kitchen side by a glass. This way we can create a totally separated common area above the kitchen. Brillian idea Ranjan! Thank you!

Kids are wellcome in Aventura. They are the one who enjoy our wooden lofts the most, where you can lay around on cushons watch your favourite videos or just read one of our hundreds of books.
Check out Aventura Family Apartment which is a totally child friendly private flat for those who are travelling with children.

Meet Anouk, the Dutch girl from@Breda University of Applied Sciences, who has wrote her graduation assignment in Aventura. Her topic was to research if there is a value fit between Budapest as the city and the potential guests of Aventura, and if there is, how can we emphasize this more in the hostel, in order to meet the travelers expectations more.
The work is done and she has some very interresting recommendation that we immediatelly start to work on. The developments of 2019 in Aventura will be based on her research and work.

Coffee an cake in the bar district on Kazinczy street. ‘Szimpla háztáji’ the little café opposit the oldest ruinbar ‘Szimpla’. Sustainable operation. Nice service, delicious food an coffee. Recommended!

Today in front of the hostel... my dog, the Taigan Sighthound meets this tiny pig. He doesn’t really understand what kind of creature it is. :)

Check out how one of Europe’s biggest Festival is being built. I walk my dog almost every night in the Island, the venue of Sziget Festival. Opening on 8th of August! They are building the venue for weeks already!
Come and party! Aventura is actually the closest hostel to the Festival. Boat stops just few minutes from the hostel.
