Big news! Demiran and Tomáš, two RGPP alumni, are starting their PhDs! Their reflections on the role their tutors and RSP played in their success are humbling. Please join us in congratulating them!🥰
"-I am so grateful to RGPP for helping me better understand the world and take a step toward realizing my full academic potential"- said Demiran Asim, RGPP 2014/2015
"-Without the thorough preparation in the RGPP program, where I was taught mathematics by Hulia Duyan, public policy by Simona Torotcoi, and English by Viktoria Vajnai, along with other great professors, I would have had no idea what I am intellectually capable of."- said Tomáš Strattera Šarközi, RGPP 2021/2022

Congratulations to Stelina, our RGPP and Advanced Certificate in Romani Studies Program alumna, on starting her new journey with ERGO Network! We are humbled by her reference to our ADVANCED CERTIFICATE program🥰: "Completing my MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology at CEU, obtaining an Advanced Certificate in Romani Studies, and engaging with various Roma have equipped me with extensive knowledge of Roma and the immediate issues that need to be addressed, particularly through research, policy making and advocacy. These experiences have only fuelled my enthusiasm for observing and analysing the Roma situation within European institutions"
Welcome Stelina!
The ERGO Network Secretariat team is growing! Our European Solidarity Corps volunteer Stelina Dungaj from Albania joined us in Brussels this week!
She will stay with us until the end of June 2025 to learn more about how we work and support all our work areas, especially communication.

Ma van a roma holokauszt emléknapja.
📚 A Tények és Tanúk sorozat két kötete mutatja be az elmúlt fél évszázad két fontos személyiségének történetet, a hazai és nemzetközi roma mozgalom történetét.
📖 Zsigó Jenő: Vezetőszáron
Zsigó Jenő a hazai független roma mozgalom egyik legmeghatározóbb személyisége, az alapítók egyike. Életútját és szellemi fejlődését e sok részletre kiterjedő, az élő beszéd drámaiságával, a nemegyszer kíméletlen szembesítés erejével ható visszatekintésben összegzi. A Neményi Máriával folytatott beszélgetései alapján készült szöveg az életút kronológiája mentén halad a családi indíttatástól a reményekkel, sikerekkel és kudarcokkal teljes szakmai tevékenység bemutatásával napjainkig. A kötet végén számos dokumentumot közlünk, továbbá intézménylista és annotált névmutató segíti az olvasót a tájékozódásban.
📖 Daróczi Ágnes: Hosszú az út előttem
Daróczi Ágnes személyes története összefonódik a roma politikai követelések mozgalmával. Versmondó, népművelő, kultúraszervező, aktivista, újságíró-szerkesztő, kisebbségkutató és legfőképpen emberjogi harcos, aki gyengeségeivel és tévedéseivel együtt a különböző ideológiai rezsimeken keresztül következetesen küzdött a romák „nemzetiségi elnyomása” ellen. A könyv Kóczé Angéla interjúsorozatára támaszkodva, fényképekkel és a korszak néhány markáns, ritkán látott szöveges dokumentumával illusztrálva jelent meg.
A két kötet a CEU Romani Studies Program és a Magvető együttműködésében valósult meg.

Hogyan lesz egy roma kislányból egy szervezet jogi igazgatója? Ő maga meséli el Brassói Vivien Kalocsán született és élt egészen tizenkilenc éves koráig. „Idejártam oviba, általános iskolába és gimibe is," - meséli Vivien, aki ma már elismert roma származású, emberi jogi szakjogász. Szülei a kalocsai paprikamalomban dolgoztak gyári munkásként.
Congratulations to our graduating RGPP students, MA students, and Advanced Certificate in Romani Studies students! We wish you the best of luck! Please join us in congratulating and welcoming them in our alumni community!
