Derry Fleming- Finance. Thank you, Connect Kerry and the Members of Cara Credit Union, for this nomination. I joined Cara Credit Union in 1987, firstly spending time as a volunteer and serving on the Board of Directors, later I joined the credit union as a full-time employee. Cara Credit Union is a not for profit financial co-operative, owned and managed locally by our members with a volunteer ethos and community focus as we strive to serve the financial needs of our members in Tralee, Castleisland, Killorglin, Ballyduff and Causeway.

I am proud to be part of a team with a strong work ethic who show dedication and compassion for members and for each other. My belief has always been to treat members, as I would like to be treated. At Cara Credit Union we have fantastic loyal members, and in the 35 years I have worked in Cara Credit Union it has been a privilege to serve members through all their life stages, from birth, going to college, buying a home, starting their own business or taking that dream holiday.

The Credit Union has been a life-line for many people living within our community, and I am proud to be part of a team who always put the credit union members at the heart of everything they do.
