Apart from my 5ft Blue Spruce pot grown christmas tree; for the past 3 years, my own tree in my own home has been a Fraser Fir. We always put up the tree the week of the Toy Show, but you must use a water stand if you want the tree to last into January. Make sure you take a slice off the base of the tree before you sit it into water, check it 48 hours later and top it up again. If you do nothing else over Christmas but top up the water 48 hours after you put the tree up, it should be looking great well into January. Fraser fir are the hardiest of all the Fir trees (Noble and Nordmann), they have a lovely smell and a fantastic shape 🌲. They are the best selling Christmas tree in America for good reason!
