Lough Derg Pilgrimage....
What draws me back to this sacred place "the ironman of pilgrimages" year aft year you are probably asking?
The peace, a chance to be still and take time out from the mad world, my fellow pilgrims, a chance to go deep within and heal and the sense of being at one with God and the spiritual high felt on the 3rd day on leaving the island, the 13th of August is the last chance to complete the pilgrimage this year, I'm sharing so if you are drawn you still have a chance to get yourself there.
Walking barefoot at one with the earth is amazing till you meet a sharp stone on one of the beds lol, the delirium of walking around in circles in the basilica saying the stations in the middle of the night making sure you are within distance of the soft kneeler at the altar, being woken from a deep sleep by a stranger and wondering where you are when it's time for the break between stations and the point you come to when you ask yourself wtf made me come here again? normally before sunrise etc etc There is a point to all this and it's to get us to take off the masks we are carrying in our daily life and when we leave our guard down and get to check in with our soul, it's then the healing begins and the great part is we get a chance to leave the baggage there and start over when we get home. It's not for the faint hearted but if you are reasonably healthy, fancy a challenge and are drawn , check it out, I am grateful to have been again and know God willing I will return again next year🙏💯💚💪🦶😉💚🙏

Going deep within, doing the healing and shadow work is not easy but so worth it and when you arrive at that nirvana place of self acceptance and self love not in an ego way but true self love it's just beautiful and such freedom, I speak from experience and this is the real reason we come back to earth school again and again to learn the lessons, evolve and grow, Namaste💓
