Testimonial! Tamara Lewis graduated from the Certificate in Digital Media Design & Development. "My employer, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, paid for my enrollment in the Certificate in Digital Media Design and Development from September 2021 to June 2022. I gained skills in producing videos from start to completion. That knowledge included capturing audio and how to use Audition and Adobe Premiere Pro for post production editing. I used storyboarding while carrying out a full creative process. I was taught to use HTML and CSS to build my own website and how to prepare images for print and web publication. With these new skills, I changed roles within my university and now create learning materials, manage a YouTube channel, and develop courses using a creative design process."

Research News! Meet some of our researchers. Justine Foster is concluding her first year of an MA by research under the supervision of Louise Foott. Justine’s research concerns arts and health practice in Ireland in a context of a fast-developing field of practice and a global surge in research that recognises the benefits of interagency working to achieve shared goals. Referencing the emergence of recent studies on collaboration, conceptual design, and what constitutes effective arts and health practice, the research takes Arts for Health Partnership Programme in West Cork as a case study, to identify the key attributes and potential difficulties in sustaining an interagency arts and health programme over a duration.

Huge Congratulations Lar O'Toole, graduate of MTU Crawford Dept of Fine Art & Applied Art. Fantastic achievement 🙌 posted • INSTALLATION DAY!
All done, a few hiccups but delighted with the final result. Thanks so much to everyone who supported and encouraged me, you know who you are, especially Tara. Thanks to the client, Richmond Homes, for trusting me with this project. Thanks to the V.A.I. For their guidance and support. And thanks to all the builders, engineers, labourers, crane operators and transit guys for their invaluable assistance. This is the validation for all my doubts and fears about becoming an artist, I never imagined I could have achieved something like this since completing art college 10 years ago this month.
Testimonial: Caroline Farrelly is a student of the MA in Journalism & Digital Content Creation. "The MA course teaches a lot of practical skills. I've personally really enjoyed the writing modules for semester one, particularly Writing for Media. An article that I had written as part of a class exercise was later published in a local newspaper.
MTU is a lovely college with a great sense of community. This course also offers opportunities for short trips to study abroad. I was selected to take part in the European Creative Futures program which was hosted in Utrecht this year. It was a fantastic learning experience, it allowed me to widen my skill set, experience a new college while also meeting and working with students from across Europe."

Testimonial: Paul McGettigan graduated from the MA in E-Learning Design & Development in 2023.
"I highly recommend this course to anyone that has an interest in gaining key skills that are relevant not just for the E-learning sector but also in any role that involves training, L&D and education. I really enjoyed using industry specific authoring tools such as Articulate, Evolve and Rise. Another highlight was listening to key guest speakers within the e-learning commercial sector discussing the relevance of these tools while also giving an insight into the opportunities that exist within the sector."
The MA in E-Learning Design & Development is an online course delivered over 2 Semesters, September to June.
This MA programme seeks to produce developers of cutting edge, educationally effective e-learning solutions. Our graduates, subsequently, will go on to work as designers and developers either directly within the e-learning sector or in support of in-house e-learning and learning technology departments. The programme is specially oriented towards creativity, culture and design, rather than technology per se.

Testimonial: Sulgana Pal, graduated from the MA in Public Relations with New Media in 2023. "The MA programme significantly propelled my professional journey by offering invaluable support and guidance that has helped me bag four job offers in PR, before my coursework was over. It’s safe to say that I had a well-defined approach on paper, before applying for jobs. Lectures and classes on professional networking provided insights into building industry connections in the Irish PR sector, while assignments like crafting a LinkedIn profile, equipped me with practical skills to showcase my expertise and engage with potential employers online. The MTU Careers Office's guidance, alongside pairing me with a suitable industry mentor for the mentorship programme refined my job search strategy and gave me access to sectoral insider knowledge which I implemented to craft my answers during my interviews."
