I'm teaching another memoir course (online, via Zoom) with Hudson Valley Writers Center in early November, it's a mixture of craft and workshop, with time for in-class writing exercises. It's a six week course, 6th November - 18th December, 1 to 3 pm (Eastern, US), focusing how to find the through line in your work, how to write an effective scene, and other important elements of creative nonfiction. It's my second time with Hudson Valley, and I've previously taught five courses with the Center for Fiction, more than 100 hours in total. I also help individual writer with line editing and finding the wood for the trees in terms of planning and plotting their memoirs and personal essays.
