You may have been wondering why our page has been inactive the past few weeks. On the 10th July, this page was hacked and numerous changes made by an unknown individual.
These changes included changing our name to "Family Store" and posting advertisements for an online retailer by the same name.
We have secured our account & Facebook are looking into the problem for us. Unfortunately, due to a specific rule, we cannot change our name back to "2nd Cork Scout Group" until 60 days has passed.
Despite ongoing correspondence with Facebook, they have not made progress on allowing the name change any sooner.
We will continue to operate from this page, so please bear with us for the next 2 weeks while our name is not as it should be!
Yours in Scouting,
The 2nd Cork Team
