As our new school year begins, our junior students have been provided with all of their school books and stationery through the free Junior Cycle school books initiative, a key part of the Free Education Scheme. 📚📚 A special thank you to Ms Keating for the many hours of hard work that went into organising the thousands of books required to ensure our students had everything they needed to start the new school year.

Our Creative Engagement project which has been framed and hung up in the school this week! The TY art class worked with Ceramic Artist Susan Herlihy to create this tiled mural celebrating the value of education in St Francis College and in Padre Pio in Zambia. Photos and quotes were exchanged between both schools to inspire this beautiful mural! A big thank you to Susan Herlihy for her guidance and expertise, our talented art teachers, as well as Trevor for tiling and hanging the mural!

Teachers beat students ... again!
Another year, another unbeaten teacher side! This year’s student side gave it their all but after a 3-3 scoreline at full time, they ultimately lost on penalties to a stronger teacher side! Well done to everybody for participating in this wonderful Roco tradition! No doubt there will be a few sore bodies in the staffroom tomorrow!!
