Some great ideas for the summer holidays and getting out and about with your micro:bit.
⚽️🏃♀️🎾 With a summer of great sport on the horizon, you might feel inspired to get active. The micro:bit is made for you to get moving while computing, and small enough to pop in your kit bag too!
If your pupils are inspired to get sporty and active, then make sure you incorporate the micro:bit into your activities too. It is designed to make computing physical, as you can just download the code to your device, unplug it from your laptop, and take it wherever you want 🏸 🏊♀️🏏
To get you started, here’s 5 ways to mix sport with your micro:bit.

So proud of Bective Future Coders families - just over a year ago we met this group for the very first time. Yesterday they were the winners of the Global Goal Award at Microsoft Dream Space. I have watched this club go from strength the strength. The kids are an absolute inspiration and the support and encouragement from these parents is remarkable. Congratulations!
Bective Future Coders were thrilled to participate in the DreamSpace showcase event at Microsoft Ireland’s headquarters yesterday. We received the DreamSpace 2024 Global Goal Award for our Micro:Bit Hydroponics system, which supports Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land. It was an amazing experience and a day we will never forget.
We extend our gratitude to Bective Cannistown GFC for their year-long support, Scoil Bhride Cannistown for promoting STEM initiatives, Michael Barrett and the entire Microsoft Dreamspace team, Our Kids Code for nurturing the seed that has flourished and to Cormac from Meath County Council for his continuous support.
