"I don't let the old man in", explains Phil Coulter, quoting his hero Clint Eastwood, on how at 82, he's keeping his pedal to the metal with a brand new Autumn tour.
Commentators who thought that a sell-out run of shows celebrating his 80th year was a kind of grand finale, certainly underestimated the man, his boundless energy and incredible staying power. It turns out that there's a legion of loyal Phil Coulter fans who can't get enough of the affable Derryman. They wanted to hear more of his music, his classic songs and his ever-changing store of music biz stories. And what a store that is.
In this brand new show LEGACY, Phil takes a fresh look back into 60 years at the top of his game - so much music, so many songs, so many new stories, distilled into two hours of vintage gold.
Bringing their own special magic to the proceedings are his Special Guests George Hutton and Geraldine Branagan, proven favourites with Phil's fans.
Quality from beginning to end. All in all, a show not to be missed.

Set in the late 90s, Ellen and her new husband Van decide to take Ellen’s older sister Inger on a bus trip to Paris, where Inger once lived. Inger is schizophrenic, and lives in a care home coddled by her over-protective mother. Ellen sees their holiday as an opportunity to reconnect, and to find out if Inger might be able to live more independently. Inger herself has a hidden agenda for the trip – hoping to track down a lost love.
Rose is based on director Niels Arden Oplev’s own family history and is full of feeling. Sofie Gråbøl’s performance is the film’s highlight. She inhabits Inger, bringing her to life and presenting all her complications, impulses and anxiety with grace.

This collection of short films for those aged eight and above is a mix of animation styles and content that promises something for everyone. Sometimes chaotic, sometimes very serious, there is no predicting where we will head next. Variety is the key, and no two films will feel or look the same.
Curated especially for ages 8 and up, these short films are some of the best examples from around the world.

Welcome to the world of Sam and Charlie in BREAKING, a groundbreaking first play by Amy Kidd.
It looks like love but it tastes like control. How do we judge, when we can’t trust our own judgment? Who do we distrust and who gets the benefit of the doubt?
Fishamble’s world premiere of BREAKING asks fascinating and profound questions about how we navigate a world without any simple answers.
Sam and Charlie are played by Curtis-Lee Ashqar, Eavan Gaffney, Matthew Malone and Jeanne Nicole Ní Áinle.

Asha Ari | Culture Night at Draíocht
Asha Ari, who was named Hot For 2023 by Hotpress, is a singer-songwriter from Dublin 15, Ireland. She is half Ghanaian, half Irish, and grew up in Blanchardstown. She performed twice last year in the Irish Embassy in London, appeared on The Late Late with Niamh Kavanagh and performed at Trafalgar Square for St Patrick's day last year which had 50,000 there. She recently did a mini-Irish tour including supporting the critically acclaimed Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Her final stop was Forest Fest, where she performed her tracks with a six-piece band. Anyone who has seen Asha Ari live has said the same thing, that she has great energy and connects with the crowd.
Asha’s music combines elements of Pop, Soul, and R&B to create uniquely catchy and relatable songs. Her single Addicted to your Love was Track of the Week on Today FM and her releases are played widely on Ireland's biggest radio stations such as RTE and Spin 1038. Her songwriting inspirations stem from growing up bi-racial, and focus on self-love, believing in yourself, spreading positivity and being true to oneself. In March 2024 she curated her first showcase in Draíocht called 'Blanchardstown Resonance' to highlight the musical talent in Blanchardstown/D15 and got to speak about it on FM104 'Select Irish'. On April 14th she did her headline show in Whelan’s to a full house. Fans left saying it was one of the best shows they have ever seen. She was featured on Songs of Ireland on May 4th where she performed and put her own twist on Raglan Road alongside Mike Hanrahan and Pat Short.

Capturing a year in the life of a rural, lakeside community in Ireland in the 1970s, this is an adaptation of the final novel from John McGahern, one of Ireland’s greatest novelists.
The film stars Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall, ‘Bad Sisters’) and Anna Bederke (Soul Kitchen, Sterben) in the lead roles. Lalor Roddy (Grabbers, God’s Creatures), Sean McGinley (Michael Collins, Braveheart), Ruth McCabe (Philomena, Joy Ride) and first-time actor Phillip Dolan make up the rich cast of supporting characters.
Joe and Kate Ruttledge have returned from London to live and work among the small, close-knit community near to where Joe grew up. Now deeply embedded in life around the lake, the drama of a year in their lives and those of the memorable characters around them unfolds through the rituals of work, play and the passing seasons as this enclosed world becomes an everywhere.

Join violinist Vladimir Jablokov and his brother Anton Jablokov for an unforgettable evening filled with beautiful classical melodies and themes from movies and musicals, performed in their unique, energetic style. Vladimir and Anton will be accompanied by Adam Kuruc on piano and Peter Vizvari on double bass.
Born into a family of virtuoso classical musicians, the fourth generation of musical maestros in Bratislava, Vladimir and Anton began their formal violin training at the age of six, surrounded by music from birth. Their live performances are electric and exhilarating, blending classical music with the playfulness and simplicity of traditional folk.
Vladimir has performed in most of the major venues in Ireland and in recent years he regularly headlines Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and Dublin’s 3Arena. This event offers a rare occasion to see Vladimir in an intimate setting, with an opportunity to meet and greet after the show.

James Shannon | Culture Night at Draíocht
James Shannon is a rapper/singer/producer from Blanchardstown in Dublin, Ireland. He has been making rap music for five years now and is starting to explore new paths such as experimental hip-hop and R&B. Starting at the age of 15, music was an outlet in his life where he felt in his element, no-one but himself to express what he felt while doing his own thing. There was a sense of empowerment in being able to speak through writing lyrics. Early influences for James were rappers such as the Notorious B.I.G, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and J-Cole. James’s message varies in his music. Some tracks focus on social issues and others explore rather introspective topics. James’s main goal is to bring a new unique sound to the table in the Irish scene.
Over the past two years James has performed at many open mics in places such as Sin é and The International, this is where he found his place performing in front of an audience. Over the past year he has performed in places such as The Underground opening for Irish rap act Neeesh alongside K1. He has also opened for bands such as The Lee Harveys and The Trouble Pilgrims in places such as The Wild Duck.

This new documentary film looks at the loyalist car bombings in Dublin and Monaghan on May 17, 1974, which led to the deaths of 34 civilians, including an unborn child, and injured almost 300. At around 5.30pm, without warning, three car bombs exploded in Dublin in Parnell Street, Talbot Street and South Leinster Street during rush hour. Almost 90 minutes later, a fourth car bomb exploded in the centre of Monaghan town. The Dublin and Monaghan bombings resulted in the greatest loss of life in any single day of the Troubles.
Fifty years after the bombings the families are still searching for the truth. Successive British administrations have refused access to files while the evidence from the original Irish investigation has either been permanently lost or destroyed.
This film gives voice to members of the Justice for the Forgotten group, formed in 1996 by the bereaved families and survivors, tireless campaigners for truth and justice for their loved ones.
Post-screening Q&A:
Director Joe Lee (406 Days: The Debenhams Picket Line), Producer Fergus Dowd, Margaret Urwin, Chair of Justice for the Forgotten Group, and Bernie McNally, Survivor; will join us for a post-screening Q&A.
