On our cruises we pass under 7 bridges ranging from the very old to the very new. Here we see the Spirit of Docklands making passage under Matt Talbot bridge coming from the eastern section of the docklands.
At High tide these bridges can have a very low clearance which means our skippers must be very skillful and attentive to their navigation
On your way down to the it is well worth stopping to check out Rowan Gillespies haunting memorial to the Famine, situated on the campshires on Custom House Quay, these evocative sculptures truly depict what would have been common scenes on the quays during one of the country's darkest periods in history.

James Gandon's Custom House. One of Dublin's Architectural jewels from the georgian era which saw an explosion in construction in Dublin that gave us most of our iconic buildings. Great when seen from the perspective of the river.
"The Linesman" by Sculptor Donie McManus. This is one of our favourite artworks along the Quayside. Placed here to commemorate the dockers who loaded and unloaded the ships in the days before containerisation and modernisation of the Port.
The Samuel Beckett Bridge which opened on December 10th 2009, joins Guild Street on the north bank to Sir John Rogerson’s Quay on the south.
