Its been along time since I posted anything here so here is an update
The Kettles Heritage Society AGM was held last week and is always looking for new members to join. Watch out for this years annual commemoration day in September in Kettles Park , Kettles Lane , Swords, Co Dublin
Also the big news is that the revised memoirs of AJ Kettle " Material for Victory" is complete, An E-Book and hard copy version will be available later this year with what we hope will be a big launch event .
Another project is to revise and add to the inscription on the bust of Tom Kettle in St Stephens Green , to mention the real facts about how and where he died , in the Great War and as a Lieutenant in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers etc..

It's the Anniversary of Tom Kettle today, killed in action in Ginchy, during the Battle of the Somme on 9th Sept 1916...a great loss to Ireland at that time..gone but not forgotten may he rest in peace where ever he lies in France..
