Our mission is to promote the understanding of and appreciation for culture and diversity through a
SIETAR Ireland is one of the newest members of the global SIETAR network and was established in 2008. SIETAR works to make people more aware of how culture affects education, policy-making and business. It helps people communicate across their differences and provide expert information and assistance in intercultural issues. It works to develop quality standards and ethical norms for intercultural work and promote exchange of ideas and experience in the intercultural field.

本年度より、異文化コミュニケーション学会(Sietar Japan)のプログラム委員長を務めております。
異文化コミュニケーション学会は、多様性を尊重し、違いに寛容で公平な異文化コミュニケーションの促進を目的としている組織です。研究者だけでなく、実践者や現場の専門家も集まる学会だからこそ提案できる、多様で充実した学びの機会を創出していきたいと思います。
この度、8月31日(土)にオンラインイベントを企画させていただきました。国際平和デー(9月21日)に向けて、NPO法人Wake Up JapanのMisato Nagakawaさんをゲストに、「日中韓の平和を考えるワークショップ」を行う予定です。
日中韓の国民感情の現状やそれに基づく研究を踏まえ、ワークショップ「政治談話を通して考える日中韓の未来」を体験していただきます。参加者同士で意見を共有し、東アジアの市民間の和解や、新しい未来の構築について共に考える機会としたいと思います。事前知識は不要ですので、どなたぜひご参加ください!🤝✨

Our Community of Practice is an opportunity for our members to come together to learn and grow with seasoned intercultural and DEI professionals from across the SIETAR Global Network.
This monthly gathering will be an opportunity to:
*Share concerns and or challenges you are having in your work
*Discuss what is happening in the industry
*Troubleshoot issues that are coming up in trainings and how to respond
*Develop best practices for building and growing your business
Each month our Community of Practice will have a seasoned expert from SIETARs Global Network share best practices, insights and strategies so that each of you are more effective in your ability to advance intercultural and inclusion learning in Ireland and beyond.
