Creating perfect pastels is not something that happens by accident.
Hair has to be lifted to an even level 9/10.
And even getting to this point is not the end of the challenge. Although the base may now be even porosity is the next obstacle.
I always tend to pre-tone with and acidic based toner - Dialight by is my go to always. To rebalance the pH of the hair to give me and even more stable base to apply my fashion shade on top.
Custom mix of Cotton Candy and Pinkissimo in
PSA - Pastel shades like this no matter how careful you are with them are not long term. The softer the tone the quicker you are going to lose it. Will require at home top ups to maintain this shade in between root touch ups in the salon .

Crystal Rodeo is where Jade took her inspiration for this year‘s showcase,

Orville Peck who is also Known as the masked Cowboy.

Peck has a unique style full of wonder and suspense and he uses his mask and outfits as a stepping stone of self expression.

To many people the Western, or cowboy style is seen as something so singular but for peck there’s a range and versatility to his style of country. however he flips these common masculine staples such as boots and jackets by covering them in rhinestones and turning looks into a spectrum of colours. Again using his self expression to change our views on gender normality.

In conclusion these two looks combined showcase the meaning of self expression which is to rediscover and redefine identity, in this case, twisting the stereotype of masculinity within the country industry. 🤩🫶❤️

Jakes inspiration was based on the colour spectrum of the 70s.
With 70s fashion coming back into trend, we see a lot of flared trousers and groovy colourful patterns
Deciding to go with a peakaboo style with bright colours inspired by the funky patterns of the 70s. My second model was inspired by the hippies of the 70s, embracing Melissa’s natural Afro curl 🫶❤️
