I was delighted to attend the celebration for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre today to mark 20 years of this fantastic resource. Thanks to Barry Murphy as a fantastic host and Niall Quinn for his wonderful stories and giving of his time. Congratulations to all involved 👏

Now that the dust has settled from last Friday Night's 'Ribbon Runway', I would like to thank a few people. A special thank you to Dundalk Golf Club for allowing us to use the fantastic venue for the Fashion Show in aid of North Louth Hospice. Thanks to Mona Mc Ardle for being our fantastic compare on the night. Thanks to Sheba Dundalk, Ozone Boutique and RubyNu for being part of a special night and showcasing their beautiful stock.
A special note of thanks to Joanna and Sinead in Elave Skincare for the gift bags and creams and to Butlers Chocolates for the continued support. Heartfelt thanks to Paula Mullen and her PR Students in Dundalk Institute of Technology for all the assistance in the lead up to the event and for taking images and video on the night. Thanks to Michelle Kavanagh from Giftme.ie by Carroll's Hallmark for the fantastic balloon displays.
We had magnificent support for our raffle from local businesses, I'll share those supporters in another post.

Being Ovarian Cancer Aware is Important **Know the Symptoms **

Ovarian cancer whispers. The symptoms are very much ones we sometimes may not be believe important. If you recognize these symptoms please check with your doctor.

The symptoms of ovarian cancer can often be vague.

See your GP if you have any of these symptoms most days for three weeks or more:
• feeling bloated (a swollen tummy) most of the time
• feeling full quickly or not wanting to eat much
• pain in your lower tummy or pelvis most of the time
• needing to wee more often than normal
• a change in bowel habit, such as diarrhoea or constipation
• back pain
• feeling tired all the time.

These symptoms can be caused by other things. Most women with these symptoms do not have ovarian cancer. But if you have any of these symptoms, it is important to see your GP. The earlier ovarian cancer is found, the more likely it is that treatment will be successful.
